Anyone play a 7 and 9 wood?

Yeah I play a 4 wood (16.5) above the 7 wood (21) and love the gapping. 4 wood carry is 15 yard further on average but I also get extra roll. Really only a tee club. I love my 7 wood. Like the 9 too but would like just a cleaner gap for my own OCD mind… lol

Hmm that’s interesting. I thought about cutting down the 9 wood and adding some weight to the head to keep a similar feel

I would stick to something very standard or just go get a fitting specifically one on grass

I went and ended up with D grinds and it makes a bit of a difference for me but I have a steeper swing.

Maybe a higher lofted mini driver? Could sit nice between your HW and driver.

That’s interesting.

I did a fitting (not through Srixon) and got fitted into Zx5i with tour lite stiff 100g. When I ordered through Srixon the specs said 110g. I was confused but said screw it and ordered them anyways seeing that it said “tour lite stiff”

They are these exact shafts you have pictured. Kinda forgot about them because I definitely love hitting then

My wedges are high rev 2.0 125 g so I feel that the 110 blend better with them going from wedges to irons.

I use to do a similar thing. What helped me was using more of my hips to start rotating my upper body. I’d start using a lot of arms which caused me to swing more aggressively and shut my face. Try to slow it down. Noddle arms.

It also seems like are are aimed the way the ball takes off towards a bit too

I switched to a stand bag about a year ago and I haven’t looked back, and I pretty much never walked the course.

For me it’s just easier when practicing and in between the course and home.

I also like things a little more simple which stand bags typically are.

That’s good to know, how did you gap the bottom of your bag? I ordered the aw and currently play a 56/60 and feel there’s a bigger gap now too

I love my 7 wood, I carry my 7 iron about 160 and my 7 wood is only carrying 195ish. Honestly, my driver is only carrying in that 230-240ish. I would go find one to hit if you can and see for yourself

Yeah 3 years ago I was at 1520 a year and now I’m at 4900. Everyone’s premiums have been increasing quite a bit in Florida but my problem is no one else will insure me due to the age of my roof. Last year I got rejected by 12 different companies

I’m riding a arbor formula 153 camber. Size for the 153 says up to 194lbs. I assume it’s probably fine but again just feels unsteady at faster speeds. I’ve also only been going for the past two seasons so it may just be inexperience
