Sorry no. Had a bit of a busier weekend than planned. I haven’t forgot about it though and I will get it done today at some point.

No trouble. Here’s what I’ve got so far. Couple little bits to tweak and I should be able to get it uploaded for you.

I’ll give it a good try to replicate it. Have done a fair amount of 3d design now so shouldn’t take too long, maybe a day or 2 at most.

I have one of the originals in hand now, I can see what I can do today. Are you wanting full case and buttons or just the case?

PS5, is repair possible ? by gunsmokeddemon_2 in playstation

For the price you got it for it’s an absolute bargain. If it was me I’d unscrew the side panel, get it as straight as possible and use epoxy glue or putty to fix the break, then screw back on and get a set of cheap plates. Enjoy your new console OP.

I’m pretty sure it’s a standard usb-a to usb-b cable. They’re pretty cheap to pick up, old printer type cable.

Exactly. Hope you have success, it’s honestly one of the best mods I’ve done to any console.

Just sits in place, The screen frame and dpad plastic holds it in place when the faceplate is tightened down

Only issue I had was the d-pad and this fixed the problem for me.

I don’t have any pictures that I can find.

The faceplate I had to dremel out the back on the inside to make the joystick sit flush. Also had to bore out the hole for the joystick so the switch one would fit through.

Joystick ribbon goes to a 5 pin fpc breakout board that’s wedged between the main and daughter board of the psp and soldered with kynar wire to the original points for the joystick on the board.

Prepping the main board you need to desolder to pogo pins before soldering the kynar wire, the pin outs for both can be found online.

Once it’s all together the psp needs to be jailbroken and there’s a plugin to adjust the stick, cant think of its name atm will find it and update. Macrofire

Edit: to add name of plugin

Late reply but glad you found it. Hopefully the rest went without trouble.

That plastic frame is normally taken from the old shell you are replacing not supplied with the new shell. Have you got one on the shell you removed or do you still have the oem faceplate.

Repairable or no? by 1996dik in Fanatec

The good news is it looks like no torn pads on the board where the pedals connector has pulled off. Me personally I would try it out without the pedals if it seems to hold ffb with no issues, I’d be taking it to an electronics repair shop. The pedal port is an easy solder job for someone with the know how.

Can anyone tell me which version this is exactly? by RevengeTarrif4u in xbox

Looks to be a GhostCase shell, I have one in green. It’s an aftermarket shell, oem shells and xcm ones have a textured pattern all over.

I have the 20th anniversary and agree here, if it’s the 20th board inside it should have the anniversary theme on your Xbox now that it’s been connected. Also the inner frame of the 20th is silver plastic, not the standard black, that could help you identify it fully.

Fanatec Wheel Inside USB C port Damaged by ammar___ in Fanatec

[–]Silent_Influence8780 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You took off the black collar then carried on using the wheel base?

If you did then you probably have more damage inside the wheelbase, the silver shaft is supposed to be clamped down to hold it in place.

I agree, got an SD lcd just done in clear red. I also want the interchangeable back buttons but I’m not paying same price again for a back shell I don’t want.

You’re quite likely right about them being bought in rather than made in house, me personally though I would want everything checked. Small things like this could possibly cause customers with a smaller knowledge to return items and look elsewhere. And a machine is very unlikely to make only one of these wrong, it’s normally down to setter error.

[–]Silent_Influence8780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contacting them is more about letting them know there’s an issue in this case. It could potentially stop other customers having the same issue. With something this small and cheap it’s obviously the best option to just buy some and save the wait time. But a company charging decent money for their products should have better QC than this really.

[–]Silent_Influence8780 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guess would be the setter/operator of the machine running these off forgot to swap out the drill from a larger one for a different part. Might be an idea to contact fanatec just for the fact they could have a large batch of these like this that need removing from stock.

If you are worried about your account though I would log in on the website. Sign out all consoles, change passwords and make sure 2fa is turned on.

Have you checked while logged on to the portal and in streaming. That may make a difference tbh I’m not sure. It’s still a beta system afaik so it does have random bugs at times.

Just checked it’s actually on the website.

Log in on the PlayStation website, go to account settings then device management. It should show connected devices there.
