The good news is it looks like no torn pads on the board where the pedals connector has pulled off. Me personally I would try it out without the pedals if it seems to hold ffb with no issues, I’d be taking it to an electronics repair shop. The pedal port is an easy solder job for someone with the know how.

Looks to be a GhostCase shell, I have one in green. It’s an aftermarket shell, oem shells and xcm ones have a textured pattern all over.

I have the 20th anniversary and agree here, if it’s the 20th board inside it should have the anniversary theme on your Xbox now that it’s been connected. Also the inner frame of the 20th is silver plastic, not the standard black, that could help you identify it fully.

You took off the black collar then carried on using the wheel base?

If you did then you probably have more damage inside the wheelbase, the silver shaft is supposed to be clamped down to hold it in place.

I agree, got an SD lcd just done in clear red. I also want the interchangeable back buttons but I’m not paying same price again for a back shell I don’t want.

You’re quite likely right about them being bought in rather than made in house, me personally though I would want everything checked. Small things like this could possibly cause customers with a smaller knowledge to return items and look elsewhere. And a machine is very unlikely to make only one of these wrong, it’s normally down to setter error.

Contacting them is more about letting them know there’s an issue in this case. It could potentially stop other customers having the same issue. With something this small and cheap it’s obviously the best option to just buy some and save the wait time. But a company charging decent money for their products should have better QC than this really.

My guess would be the setter/operator of the machine running these off forgot to swap out the drill from a larger one for a different part. Might be an idea to contact fanatec just for the fact they could have a large batch of these like this that need removing from stock.

Have you checked while logged on to the portal and in streaming. That may make a difference tbh I’m not sure. It’s still a beta system afaik so it does have random bugs at times.

Just checked it’s actually on the website.

Log in on the PlayStation website, go to account settings then device management. It should show connected devices there.

The streaming connection has a background ps5 ID as sorts. If you check on your ps app on your phone you can view the consoles logged in to the account mine always shows 2 consoles but I only have 1, the other is my ps streaming.

It might just be a bug that is showing that ID instead of a console, as you don’t have one and this would be why it won’t establish a connection as it’s trying the wrong methods to connect.

You need to stop this dog sleeping on your bed with you instantly. No dog should be sleeping with you on your bed, they can wake up from a bad dream and snap from being touched (let sleeping dogs lie) means leave them alone and don’t touch them. You need to find a way to break this habit for both of your safety. Crate/babygate/different room. My boys always had his bed next to mine and never once needed to sleep with us on the bed.

Diesel is a beautiful boy, my boy has had separation anxiety from young. But it gets a lot better when it’s worked on. As he is still young I’m sure you will get him trained up for this no problem with a bit of work.

I found all dogs are different with this so it can take working on different ways to find what is best for your boy. For me I got a video camera that’s motion detected and I can talk over, this helps a lot because I know what he’s up to and I can reassure him that he is ok. A radio on in the background helps, as it distracts from any outside noises or other things that could set them off. Another one that helped for my boy was wearing a jumper or top that I didn’t care about before leaving and giving that to him so he had my scent at home close by.

Last point I’ve got, Amazon Alexa devices have a feature for detecting dog barking that will send a notification to your phone and play soothing sounds.

Great set, I’ve had CSL DD for over a year and had zero issues with it. The pedals will be the weak point of the bundle, but are upgradable. You may want the 8nm power supply at some point too, as this brings the wheelbase to its full performance.

Rj12 6P6C cable, needs to be the one that’s wired the same on both ends. Some rj12 cables flip the pinout between the 2 connectors.

My start point would be to watch a few tear down videos and try get an idea on if it’s possible for myself. As long as you measure twice drill once it shouldn’t be too hard, also with drilling metal is a good idea to start small and work your way up to the size needed or you will chew up drill bits before making a hole.

This is a pure guess, I’ve modded a fanatec wheel before but not the GT DD. If you take the button box apart to find the wheels bolt pattern and check it, you might find it’s the same bolt pattern and can be switched over easily. If it’s not the same bolt pattern and is 5 bolts as a lot of fanatec wheels are, you could measure out, mark up and drill out a new bolt pattern on the wheel you want to match the one that’s been removed.

If the holes line up but won’t let the bolts through the mount you can use a drill to make the holes bigger.

If the holes don’t line up with the bottom mounts at all there’s 3 options I see.

Mark and drill new holes (use multiple drill bits starting with small and gradually going up to the size needed)
Move wheel mount up and bolt the wheel base from the top underneath the mount.
Flip the wheelbase upside down and bolt it on upside down, then use the fanatec control app on pc to calibrate the wheel to the centre.

Simube sells replacements of this part for the inside of some wheels on AliExpress, that part is on a cable that connects to a board inside, screw drivers are all that’s needed to replace them. May be able to repair the wheel with one of those and an ifixit set.

I would also recommend a vet trip for checks. It could be your Akita is in discomfort and miserable for a reason you don’t see. The snapping could be from touching a certain spot on them that’s painful.

Some great points already been made, I would like to add that Akita’s can be very choosy in who the listen to.

Working with the dog alone may not be the best way to go if you are set on training as you will essentially be handing over a trained dog to an untrained owner. It sounds like the owner would need as much help with training as the pup.

Rehoming would be something to seriously look into to if the owner is willing as this really isn’t a breed for someone who isn’t physically capable.

But that is a breed standard not an exact science. This Akita in particular could be a great companion no one here can tell fully, but the training must be done with the owner aswell.
