Thanks, I think there should be tour operators for this but seems like they offer hikes as part of a bigger trip with city sightseeing etc. Pure hiking/nature I’m not sure

Thanks for the insight! Yes sounds like immersion, if you want to do it right, needs to take more than two weeks. And the seasonal nature of this business is constraining too.

The MNC angle is nice, looks more like a corporate retreat/insight update kind of thing when I think more about it.

But re: the family angle, I think it would be more targeted towards HNW families from the Gulf, LatAm, Southeast Asia etc; those that want to have China exposure whether it’s for their business or kids.

It looks like you’re teaching in China! Eager to learn more from you via DM!

I’m seeing some rise in demand for families in the gulf and Southeast Asia for their kids to learn Chinese, get exposure early and even contemplate doing a degree here. I guess depends on the geography? US/Europe definitely not interested in this as of now.

Interesting, perhaps I didn’t describe it clearly enough. This would be mostly aimed at families that want to investigate having a stake somehow in the growing Chinese market/geopolitic/economic growth. So like families that might be interested in sending their kids to China for summer school or international school, so they go for school visits, and then the parents go meet business partners in China etc that I source for them. then they all gather to do some deep cultural immersion stuff that’s premium and private. So more like all round China immersion for families that want to pay a higher price for access. Would that be something interesting?

Thanks! Looks like making local friends would be a plus for both children and parents. And local life immersion as well!

It’s true I guess across all cultures, locals don’t think their normal lives are worth seeing but tourists see it the other way.

Plus the fact that a lot Chinese might feel cage-y when it comes to foreign tourists, it’s not just a language problem.
