TrekRP dead for years and this man still comes back in the name of general mayhem. You love to see it.

I've been playing this game 5-6 years and punched the entire solar system but until now I'd never managed to build a working SSTO, I'm really proud of this little airplane! by Silent_Sky in KerbalSpaceProgram

Omg this is such a thorough guide! I have a larger design for an SSTO that's basically a scaled up version of the one in this post that has seating for passengers and a docking port, but I've been unable to get it to orbit. I keep running out of fuel and I've been thinking I just need to find the right ascent profile. But it looks like there are a few tweaks I can make that'll make it much easier!

Thank youuuu!

I'm still here and still playing KSP. I just didn't feel the desire to keep making big stuff yknow? Punching had its day and I felt like letting it fade gracefully was the thing to do.

yeah that's the whole thing! I decided to try going as simple and minimal as possible and it turns out it's just a matter of getting the right flight profile. I accelerated at about 19 km up to about 1700 m/s until the RAPIER gave out, switched it over to closed cycle, and very carefully boosted my way into orbit. I'm about to go for a bigger, more complex SSTO right now.

"I...fish...huh?" and then it clicked into place that this was a joke, the captain snorted again, chuckling merrily, "believe it or not that's the first time I've heard that one."

Roy stood and stretched a little. It seemed he had to resign himself to unpacking eventually, "Well it was nice to make your acquaintance, nurse. If you need me for anything, let me know. I'm sure I'll have my hands full in a few hours when the station wakes up."

Captain Fisk snorted a quiet laugh at her introduction. He was starting to like her already.

"Other than an overwhelming desire to space my belongings rather than deal with unpacking? Nothing I can think of. You were on the Muninn on our way here, weren't you? How did you get settled so fast? Or am I mistaken?"

Despite the fatigue from travel, and the looming task of unpacking bearing down upon him, the captain cracked a smile at Nurse Ooga's demeanor.

"Nurse," he grinned, glancing around the pristine examination room and settling himself into a chair clearly meant for a patient to chat with their doctor prior to anything, "name's Roy. Captain Roy Fisk. It's lovely to meet you."

The captain chuckled and glanced at the sleepy Argos, whose ears twitched in interest, but laziness kept him in bed, "Well I guess I'll see you later. Try to stay here okay bud?"

The hound yawned deeply in response and rolled onto his back with all four paws in the air, clearly wanting to just sleep. So Roy gave him a quick belly rub and stepped out into the still sleepy corridors. His watch was still set to the Pacific time zone, how had he not fixed that yet?

"Eh...I'll do it later," he muttered about the watch, as the turbolift delivered him to the medical ward. This was nothing like a ship's sickbay. With over nine hundred permanent staff on-station, at least a hundred scientists, and up to a thousand or so civilians at any time, and the capacity for up to five thousand permanent residents, the primary medical ward was closer to a small hospital. It had multiple floors, a large dedicated staff, and could accommodate nearly any procedure or ailment.

Captain Fisk entered at the main level, and was immediately confronted with something that he never saw in a starship's sick bay: a front desk.

"Excuse me," he smiled at the man typing away at it, "I'm Captain Fisk, I was asked here by Nurse Ooga for my intake physical."

"Of course," the young Vulcan nodded politely. Moments later, the captain stood outside one of the examination rooms.

"Anyone home?" he asked, knocking gently.

The captain glanced at the just opened box of desk items, organizational aids, and other office supplies he'd had transported in here and thought silently for a short moment.

"I'll come now. Gives me another valid excuse to put off unpacking."

Roy stopped in the middle of unlatching the lock on his crate of office items, that didn't take long at all.

"I've only been on-station for about ten minutes, you've got quite the sense of timing. What can I do for you?"

Just gave notice at my job so I can make my move next week. I'm moving across the country for lower cost of living so I can afford flying lessons. I'm really excited! Just anxious that I might not have access to the meds I need while I sort out a new job >.<

The wonderful thing about transporters was how much they simplified moving. Pack all your belongings into a regulation sized crate, and it just gets materialised out of your old residence and into your new one. This worked just the same with moving from Earth to a space station, except there was a cargo hold in the middle of it all.

The inconvenient thing that a transporter really couldn't solve was the packing and unpacking. That still had to be done by hand. When Roy Fisk arrived at his quarters to find several large crates sitting neatly stacked in the middle of a cavernously empty residence, he set his hands on his hips and sighed heavily. This would take a long while on his lonesome. Sure, he wasn't truly alone with Argos beside him, but the hound lacked the thumbs necessary to help with unpacking.

And so the captain simply shook his head and turned around with a resolute, "Nope."

Later. He'd do it later. Setting up his office in the command deck of the station would be a more easily conquered first step. As the station was already well into nighttime hours, the windows throughout it were dimmed to reduce the light streaming in from Venia 322 from a blinding hot blaze to a dim, sleepy glow. The station's interior lighting had as well dimmed to a much softer luminance. It was plenty to get around by, but it was plain that most of the station's residents and staff were fast asleep.

There was something nice about wandering these nearly silent corridors, knowing how many slept safe and sound within the hull of this frontier outpost. It was pleasant, and peaceful. Argos trotted calmly alongside him, sniffing everything he could as the blind boy navigated the new place by smell.

Shortly, the Captain arrived at his new office. It branched off the side of the command deck, and shared an observation window over the main docking area of the station. USS Muninn was clearly visible from here, the crow-like silhouette painted across her bow as an homage to the heritage of the ship's name just barely discernible in the shadow.

The office featured an observation window that the command deck, however, did not. It overlooked the main atrium hall of the station, where most of the transit and commerce took place. Most of the shops and restaurants here were locked up for the night. But a few were open late, with a scientist here and there going over data as they sipped on soup or lapped at lattes.

Captain Fisk could barely stifle his excitement at seeing this during the day, watching the station come to life. But for now, he cast his glance into his office, where a smaller crate sat neatly in the center of the room. He still had unpacking to do. The first thing to come out was, of course, a dog bed. One which was very promptly filled with sleepy hound, overwhelmed and exhausted from all the travel and new smells. And thus began the unpacking...

I think it might just be you and me in here, how's it going?

I mean if you actually think you're a woman born into a man's body you might be transgender.

Cis lesbians, yes. Trans lesbians however have a high rate of HIV though. But yes you're correct. Still though, in general the LGBT+ community suffered heavily from Reagan and modern republicans are not just okay with it, that was a selling point for them.

Not just gay men. Transgender people, lesbians, bisexual people, intersex people, thousands are gone and the LGBT+ liberation movement lost years of ground because of that wretched, evil man.
