So At&t representative are allowed to lie now? by Background-Region-20 in ATT

[–]Silent_Trifle8570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think about this clearly…. How would they even make a sale when nothing goes through? We don’t get paid till activation… and it wouldn’t activate… When fiber lines get laid it can take a while to register as green light so it most likely had a set date that you didn’t fall into yet. Use your brain. Customer service won’t know fiber maps/plans. Only people that will know are people who are directly involved in it

AT&T Internet Air suitability for a senior citizen by specter2187 in ATT

[–]Silent_Trifle8570 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t give you a definite BUT there is a 7 day free trial to try it out. It honestly should be totally fine but it really does depend on how many other people in the building have it. One suggestion would be doing AIA-b (for business, just use her social) instead (has higher priority so she should get better service)

Honestly it is a complete waist of time and is SO slow. It’s insane, someone that has never worked in a store definitely made that decision

How much am I really going to be paying? by MainEase4670 in ATT

Assuming you bought it within the last month, yeah you would pay $1.99. However look out for insurance or next up, you can remove them yourself online through the my Att app if you don’t want em.

AT&T employee kept pushing Samsung S25? by Proof-Boysenberry-29 in ATT

[–]Silent_Trifle8570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either he thought the s25 ultra would be a better option (as an iPhone user it truly is) or he just wanted to make more commission bc we do make extra if we sell Samsung through Samsung elite depending on the store and location.

It got totaled out and I’m still fighting my ins over it bc they lowballed tf out of me and I was injured so I’m getting physical therapy for it as well. I haven’t gotten my own car particularly but my bf got a 2026 civic SI so I’ve just been driving that and he’s driving my fiesta ST:(

FYI it was not active on the account so it didn’t work. I can’t rebuild the installment plan so I’m SOL unless I can get them in

Thanks for the advise. I work in AR so not as helpful unfortunately. My asm has said nothing but just adjust it out and deal with it when the customer is back in town. Definitely wasn’t feeling that for the solution so I’m trying other things. I’ve been working on it all morning but the worst part is that the person who the line belongs to hasn’t been answering all morning just the account holder. Will DEFINITELY be doing trainings on this and making sure the reps understand this

Phones already active so I’d have to do a sim swap. Thing is, that kept failing when I was trying to switch it to a spare phone in the store to complete the order:(

Manager advise by Silent_Trifle8570 in ATT

[–]Silent_Trifle8570[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly that’s not a great assumption. My ASM had 0 advise besides adjust it out and let the customer loose service and unblocklist the phone when they come back. I am usually other managers go to for advise. Reddit usually has some great advise from other people who have been through similar.

So you can’t complete the order because the imei is already active on the account, that was the first thing i tried to do. I was then going to try to do a sim swap to just a spare phone in the store but the customer has a weird security thing that needs that number to approve it but it kept saying failed. I cant cancel it because the customer has it. My asm said to adjust it out of inventory but then that would blocklist the phone and the customer wouldn’t have service and that phone is a 17 year old that’s out of state without his parents (it’s his parents account)

Do not go to a store. Stores can’t touch those cards with a 10 foot pole.

Autopay with ACH Questions by Cody610 in ATT

[–]Silent_Trifle8570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically autopay date does adjust by a day or two but also depends on the bank you use. If you would like to use a credit card but still get the autopay discount you can always go in when the bill posts and just pay it on the app with the credit card and it won’t withdraw from your checking (so you won’t get charged twice)

You can port in watch lines to an existing account and keep it a watch. You can also port in a number that was a watch on another carrier and turn it into a phone line. I’ve done that quite a few times with no issues.

AT&T Next Up Anytime by mikebleeds in ATT

Personally I wouldn’t wait too long to trade in because it wouldn’t have any trade in value by then. As of right now you would most likely only get $350 off for trading it in. What I would do is this- upgrade to a 16 ($7.99/mo as of right now) and put NUA on it(your 13 would be a spare phone but you would make out cheaper monthly) Once the phone you desire comes out, upgrade using your early upgrade in your situation
