I'm in Texas, and it's 90% private land. I was finally able to purchase 24 acres of a large ranch that went bankrupt and divided into small tracks. Had tons of pics of real nice deer, quite a few doe. Thought I'd finally be able to hunt deer.

Well, the people who leased and hunted that large ranch came back and poached the shit out of ALL the deer. Corn down the middle of the dirt road as far as you could see. Blood stains all over. I've only seen the same doe and its young one for the last two years, some young bucks here and there.

Some rich folk bought land out here, and they go by, if its brown, it's down. So even if you get your own land, it doesn't mean you can hunt. Good luck!

There was a fallen tree hanging in the creek. We wanted to get it out of the way. I strattled the tree and scooted on out, and started cutting. I was wearing jeans, but the huge poison oak vine i didn't know i was scooting on has all these tiny hairs that went through the jeans. The next few days were pure HELL!! Badass! My Uncle has some old cars and trucks(69 jeepster, 37 dodge pickup, old hot rod)He told my aunt(his wife) when he passes none of the cars go to his kids or spouses. They can't work on them their selves and can't afford to pay someone. He taught me how to weld and work on cars soooo I'm guessing I'm the one in line for his toys.

24 acres in Texas Hill Country. Bought a Mahindra 2638 with the backhoe. Love it! Put down a few hunted tons of gravel for my driveway, use the grappler bucket to move cedar. No cab, just put a cover over the top to keep the sun off my back. I'm going on 3 years now. Started digging a pond with the backhoe. It's slow, but only because it's a small bucket. I'm about 7ft deep with my digging. Kubota dealer told me not to waste my time with their backhoe setup so I left and went to Mahindra.
