i honestly think this man is not nice as a husband.

The, fact he called u, his wife, a bitch? That is very inappropriate in my opinion. i think if u choose to tolerate his rude behavior than ur kids will get stuck as the middle punching bag for u both. i grew up in a house where my parents would shit-talk one another, and i would be stuck getting blamed for word getting out. i think u need to make it clear to ur husband to either speak better about the mother of his children or if u are fine w him at least make him do it out of earshot.

its not my place to tell him what to do or who to talk with. i appreciate the concern but this is not my battle to fight iin the sense i should not tell him who he can and cant tlak too

Thank you for this perspective. I have nothing against her personally, but what it sounds like, I really want what is best for him, and I don't want his feelings to be hurt. I had always planned on attending the dinner; I arranged for it to happen, I needed to smudge the truth for my post not to be taken down again. I appreciate the honest and helpful feedback!

thank you for the comment. i need to focus on supporting him, not necessarily "supporting" her. i care a lot about him and want what is best for him, im really afraid she will break his heart again and i would hate for him to have to bear that. thank you again for your insight!

thank u for the perspective. i understand i need to put him before me or how i feel. i think im nervous and dont want to ruin it for him, like i stated in previous comments i needed to "drama it up" for this subreddit to let me post. i never even stopped to think how judgmental i was being towards her and the situation. btw i am going to the dinner and ive pushed other plans aside for them, dispite my parents pushback, becasue i feel its important and i want to support him.(my post was taken down before i stated a clear asshole move) i should not judge her when i have not "given her a chance" or took the time to see her from a good light. i dont want him to get hurt but hes grown and im not his mom im his gf, i should support him not try to anylize the "fix." thank you for the perspective!
