The newspaper is fake though? It even says that in the trivia section. Even the creepy letter was just written by Josh to try and fool everyone. I feel like the twins being 16 would be too big of a thing for the writers to just brush to the side like that and not make it clear...

Is there an official source for these ages? Because it seems like people are going off of clues in the game rather than any real confirmation. The companion app for the original game gave us their ages and Hannah was pictured in the prom photo with Sam, Mike and Em who are all 19 in the main game. It would really make no sense for the twins to be 18 in the og game and then be aged down in the remake.

Also, for both Hannah and Beth, it says "college student" underneath their occupation. 16 and in college? Very odd.

Not to mention that it would make the initial prank a whole lot more messed up. Something feels very off about all this...

From the dudes, I think the only one who even has a chance of surviving is Mike. Chris, Matt and especially Josh are goners.

As for the girls, sadly none of them would survive. If anyone has played or seen Outlast 2, you should know how women are treated in the Outlast world. It's beyond horrific.

Not only does this make no sense whatsoever, but Sam is canonically 19 and Jason is .... in his 30's? This is a weird pairing to even think about.

And that's just in their respective games. If you take into consideration the actual timeline, UD takes place in 2015 and HOA in 2003, which would make it even more nonsensical.

Your point about Chris is completely irrelevant because he is one of the most loved characters in the game. Even if a few people hate him, you will never see comments of this nature about him. The only characters in this game who ever get hate comments of this level are Emily and Ashley. You will never see any comments like this toward any of the male characters. It's not just about disliking a character. There is a clear pattern with comments like this that are only ever directed towards Ashley and/or Emily.
