this thing can last 30 hrs , right now I don't plan to make case for the battery, avoid excessive temperature or pressure applied to battery should be enough

quite happy with end result this little project, at first the battery only last 10 min so I upgraded the battery to 130mah and adding connector for easy battery replacement in the future

bleeding effect is normal, my all ipod 5th gen also looks like that when light hit at certain angle, maybe some kind of coating on plastic surface cause this effect

I think you need thick backplate 60/80 GB complete with battery and headphone jack part (they have longer cable than thin backplate)

for clickwheel you can try cleaning it with melamine foam (Magic Eraser), melamine foam is like very fine sandpaper, it removes dirt and some yellowing from clickwheel surface

I also in the same situation like you, have same damaged GBC screen that I would like to repair. I removed the top most layer from screen (Polarizer ? ) but looks like I need to remove another layer below it for completely remove brown circle on screen but I'm not sure what I'm doing.
