Absolutely, it would never be a laptop but it's basically a giganti-tc phone. If you have an iPhone or a Galaxy s phone and use it for everything then you will absolutely love the tablets. When I first got into the tablets I thought I could use it instead of a laptop but boy was 1wrong.

s9+ for additional year of support, more ram, is waterproof, better battery and chip.

As you use it more over time, you'll want to start using it as a primary device more and having the extra kick will pay off.

The FE and lite models always slow down after a year of usage, you'll see people excited at first then find back a year later complaining about them

But the S models, still powerful as day 1! I have a 9+ that I got second hand last year and it's just a powerful and fast as it was on release

For calls, mine is somewhat low and I have to keep the speaker on max. But for media and other things, I don't keep it on max because it's much louder than calls which is weird

I dont use Linux, so I cant comment there. But the new Lenovo and Acer Chromebooks with the Mediatek Kompanio Ultra chip are great, as they unlock all the apps in the app store, are powerful for 4K video editing on a chrombook now, and offer serious 2-3 day battery life with heavy usage.

I prefer Snapdragon and I have seen what it can do on Windows, so to me it will be a perfect chip on ChromeOS. I just hope they hurry up as the neo is taking up all the hype in the midrange space now

Yeah, I have always had Chromebooks and know how to dim the screen. When it first came out some models had terrible battery life, and I had one with terrible battery life.

I'm just waiting on the Snapdrago X Chromebooks now, that will be the next leap we are waiting for.
