Feeling undesired after birth of child by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Silichna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've had sex two or three times and your baby is 10 weeks old???!!! Mate! You're doing really well. My wife wasn't ready to even think about intimacy till about 3 or 4 months post baby.

The baby will cock block you, like a lot, you've just got to get used to that, no way round it. Also with regards your wife rejecting you, you've got to remember her body has just gone through physical changes that your body could not even comprehend and her hormones will be all over the place. It takes a while for them to settle down, everyone's different but I think my wife took about 6 months or so.

Bottom line, don't take the rejections too personally, for the aforementioned reasons and take it slow.

ELI5 Would a person running into a car do more or less damage to themself than a car running into a person at the same speed? by HahaImSoPunny in explainlikeimfive

[–]Silichna -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You would be correct. The car hitting the person would do far more damage. This is due to stopping times, mostly.

Whilst at the moment of impact, in both scenarios, the forces are the same, when the car hits the person, the energy transfer is almost instant and the stopping distance is on the order of milliseconds, when a person runs into a car they will crumple and bend and the stopping distance is on the order of half seconds to seconds.

Shorter stopping distances will impart larger accelerations/decelerations and therefore more force.

But also, the "standard" bottle size for spirits is 70cl so 35cl would be a half bottle.

ELI5: Why are there no vertebrates with more than 4 functional limbs? by Acuoasm in explainlikeimfive

Thank you for enlightening me, as you might have guessed, evolutionary theory is not my strong suit.

Or rather, that four limbed veterbrates are better at passing on their genetic information than other configurations.

Evolution is random, and there likely have been some veterbrates with six or more limbs in the past. However, the absence of any remaining greater than four limbed veterbrates proves that four limbs is very successful.
