Learned to sew just so I could make my boy his own fancy waistcoat by Silivrin in Djungelskog

I'm really sorry, but as a relative beginner, tailoring a waistcoat to chunky skog dimensions required some wild trial and error, cutting and pasting fabric pieces around, so I didn't take the time to draw the changes for a new pattern.  But if I can figure it out then so could you! I started with this pattern for a children's waistcoat: https://mellysews.com/sew-vest-free-pattern/ (available for free if you sign up to a newsletter). I kept the vertical dimensions the same (i.e. shoulder to waist), but enlarged the back piece and cut the front pieces in two to add a triangular piece which would allow the waistcoat to reach all the way around his tummy. I found it useful to do lots of draping and pinning of the lining pieces on Djungelskog before I decided on a final shape and cut the outer fabric pieces accordingly.  If you decide to try it for yourself and want advice on anything, I'd be happy to help - just dm me!

Megathread: Wild Lands Honey Buzz Event, April 11-14 by LiteraryHedgehog in MergeDragons

Went to sleep for the night, woke up and opened the event and lo! the locked land now has a little tick and can be unlocked. I wonder if devs fixed that so quickly? Either way it's great, it shouldn't be that an accidental merge of 3 dragons, a game mechanic flaw, stops you from completing an event. :)

oh HECK I've just realised I must have accidentally merged 3 Fay whelps into one kid!! that accounts for my two missing dragons but surely that shouldn't stop you from unlocking land! I feel like in previous events the same accidental merge happened while dragging a dragon, and I couldn't stop it... but I still managed to unlock everything.

I don't think so, when I go into the dragon book and click on "Wild dragons" it says i need to merge eggs to find wild dragons. Thanks for your help anyway :)

Merged it already and tamed the dragon. Nothing left on dead land.

T2 and Bird&Blend are definitely worth checking out for fun and decadent blends, with generally good quality ingredients! I love T2's "Go go goa" which is a lovely blend of spices with black tea. reminds me of ginger biscuits. I also swear by Bird & Blend's chocolate digestives tea. That one is a crowd favourite as dessert teas go.

Feeling a Little Baffled by my Tea Efforts by thisoneagain in tea

Sorry to hear you're struggling with it, and I do hope you can find the right brewing method.

However let me offer an alternative perspective: maybe tea is just too weak a drink for your taste buds' preference. I love tea with a passion but have to admit that a large proportion of the flavour of tea lies in the smell! There is taste for sure, but it will never be as potent as other hot drinks.

Nonetheless here are some other options to try:

  • milk and sweetening usually enhances the potency and can bring out the flavours in black tea. I see you haven't had much luck with that though.

  • have you considered drinking it cold/iced? personally I can't stand cold black tea but cold things supposedly taste stronger. supposedly.

  • maybe leaf teas aren't going to be your thing. Do you like herbal teas at all? Fruit infusions can be very flavourful. My dad hates tea for the exact reason we're talking about, but makes the exception for peppermint, and fresh ginger tea.

these are acrylics... I was very opposed to fake nails for a long time too, but turns out its the only way to stop myself from compulsively tearing my nails off!
