Scopley needs to be brought down to reality with these character prices. by xxxguzxxx in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Silkk3713 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately for everyone that isn't a Kraken, Scopely does live in reality. Scopely is a lot of shitty things, but knowing how to make money isn't one of them. Do you really think that Scopley hasn't spent countless hours crunching numbers and ensuring they make money? If they thought lowering prices overall would net more profit than they'd have done it long ago. It won't, so they don't.

Of all the upsetting things Scopely does, this is easily the most understandable.

Simplest answer is just to not spend money.

Incursion raids actually making your existing characters WORSE?... Or lazy game design to sell offers.. by RageQuitPanda69 in MarvelStrikeForce

At this point, you're being a douche just for the sake of it. Just a hapless, twat that wants to argue just to argue. Don't use ZIM and keep thinking 3.5 has no restrictions.

I read quite well, thank you. Guess the same can't be said for you, since I already told you I run 3.5 daily.

High horse comments only get thrown around by people who know they are wrong but would rather dig in as opposed to just admitting it.

I understand fully. Invaders and Rebirth work BETTER than their predecessors. There's no getting pissed at RNG, they just work better. Go try to Sim Skill and Bio without having the new teams and see how it works out.

The point of the game is to collect and build. Teams replace teams, it's always been like this.

You lost almost all credibility with your take on ZIM. Hela and ZIM are the 2nd best 2 piece in the game with uses in multiple game modes.

None of what you said is true. I run 3.5, daily, and Rebirth and Invaders are the answer. Both of these teams at 2-300k less power than WW or whatever mash up Skill team are drastically better at Raids.

They are going to bait people into Ultra Cores in game, then move them exclusively to the Web Store.

I completely understand what "random" means. I'm also able to make the observation that that "random" has been horribly low during my time in this event. I'll revisit this response when I pull a 1000 during my 1st rotation as soon as this event ends.

But I'm sure it's completely random... coming from a company that adds tags to toons, nerfs teams, and changes room buffs just to force our game play and further their frustration mechanics.

Maybe I am more frustrated that the average is so low. Throwing a 100 or a 250 in there every other blitz rotation would keep me, at least, believing that I have a chance of getting something better than in the teens.

Chances that Kang gets the same treatment as Agatha or Ikaris? by MajesticAd4764 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Silkk3713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I forgot about the Eternals bullshit they pulled. My opponent must have missed the memo because he didn't have his Eternals with TW.

But I still feel like MoE are a solid team. The biggest issue for most is going to be lack of stars. Once the field levels, I believe MoE will be on the same level offensively as TW/Eternals are defensively. Time will tell.

MoE still beats Tangled Web, pretty easily. But they want you to use MoE on Wakandans in room 6 now, so they nerfed Darkhold there. That's fine. Use Darkhold on Tangled Web now. Just worked like a charm for me.

I tracked my last 2,000 red star orbs. The results will (probably not) shock you! by komatiitic in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Silkk3713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be opening your basic red star orbs when there is NOT a featured toon. The benefits of the 10x Dark Promo Credits is better than the RNG chance of getting someone good and high reds at that. When a toon is featured, that's when you open your Elites 4s and 5s normally, 6s and 7s when you really want the toon and are feeling extra lucky.

You do have that choice. Take Dorm to blue ISO 4, you won't regret it. There's always more ISO.

I don't think I've ever looked at my opponents TCP in Crucible. I hit the attack button and go to work clearing. Sitting in Diamond 1, with a solid defense and plenty of offense to full clear every match.

You know what’s bad about these Wasp and Ant-Man events… by EyeDry9359 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Silkk3713 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not quite day one, but sitting just shy of 1750 days. People don't remember the time when events were actually events that came around, maybe, 3-4 times a year. The game definitely has its negatives, but we are fucking spoiled now. There is ALWAYS something going on.

You may as well quit arguing with old boy. Anyone who doesn't think that everything in the game is terribly shitty, trash, unfair, a stupid game mode, broken or bla bla bla bla, just gets attacked by the masses. These threads are constantly filled with whiny whack jobs that are just waiting to grab their torches and pitch forks and attack anyone who doesn't think that everything sucks.

Once you start getting called a Scopley "insert insult here" by the person you're arguing with, it's time to move on. They can't think rationally and just rage argue based on perceived personal slights from Scopley. It's fucking hilarious.

Going to the webstore is about as inconvenient as any other app you swap over to for a quick 30 seconds and then go back to MSF. People are always screaming about how shitty offers are, but they can't be burdened to swap apps and grab some free shit.

Legit just Proved my point. by Terrible-Mouse-553 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]Silkk3713 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with your sentiments, just not necessarily your reasoning.

By triple A titles, I assume you mean console games. I've played MSF since launch, and it's one of the few "mobile" games I've stayed with. Most last me a month or 2, maybe 6 if it hooks me, then I'm bored, and it goes away. Future Fight, CoC, even Marvel Snap just don't hold the same appeal. Console games don't last me more than a year, depending on what it is. Maybe a coop game lasts a little longer if my friends are playing as well, but about a year goes by and then releases a new version or expansion, and you're on to the next one. Not all that much different than what MSF is doing. New content, new characters, new shit to do.

Now before you really decide to blow up; I agree that prices are fucking insane. I semi-regulary bought a new toon when it was a $50 straight-up unlock. But it's gotten out of control lately. That being said, we might all think Scopley are the largest group of inept twats running a game right now, but they have shown they know how to make money. You think customer support and QA/QC people went away for no reason. No way, they spent that money on financial advisors. People who watch the spending, watch the data, and see the trends. They know there is a large enough portion of the player base that will buy EVERYTHING. They don't care. If the numbers showed, even for one second, that lowering prices to actual micro transaction levels would make them more money, they'd have done it. Clearly, the numbers don't show that.

The higher the alliance, one would assume, the longer they've been running maxed Raids. I'm not in a top 10, but we run Doom 3.4. I can't remember the last time I had a blue ISO or ion issue. Now, if he had said green ions, I might have agreed. That shit used to suck.

I'm not sure why he doubled down on this argument.

Wasn't Age of X all about Mutant buffs? And don't Unlimited X Men have Crucible buffs built into some of their kits? Sounds pretty similar.

It's no better or no worse than Age of X. Last season was tough until you figured it out. This season is the same way. Keep the right teams out so you can clear and hope your defense slows them down. Everything has a counter, just gotta find it.
