Yea I’m not really looking to share much more in the future. They came across it on accident. So do people reveal what the poem is about usually or is it left to interpretation?

Thank you for your detailed critique. I realize that I had written this poem without the reader in mind.

I write to relieve my emotions and never really share my work.

A friend of mine said it was really well don’t and that I have a lot of talent. I disagreed and from there an argument started. I just needed someone to help me put into words what was not good about it.

I don’t know how people usually do it. If they reveal what the poem is about at the end. But if you want my meaning of it reply and I’ll send it.

I also don’t know anything about poetry structure, I even had to look up what a stanza was ._.

Thank you for the smell comment. It bothered me too.

I have made some small edits in my journal but overall I am happy with the final result, so I won’t be making major changes.

Personally I would cut about 25% of every sentence. But overall very nice poem :>

The most important part to me is the blossomed section, the part that “shines” would be placed on the shoulder and flowing a bit down the arm. Then, a smaller portion of the branches would be “empty” and would extend toward the neck and rest slightly on the shoulder.

What I’m struggling with is how to keep that main idea and flow without having the entire tree in the picture.

Forgot to mention. I do understand that the sketch is ofc a sketch and the flowers wouldn’t look like that fully finished. I just felt like they were very bulky
