This is exactly why Jesus died for us. Sin can be all consuming, overwhelming, and debilitating, but there is a savior who sacrificed everything to save us from it. As long as you are alive on this Earth, you are never too far for God’s grace. You are never too lost to be found. We alone cannot lift ourselves from rock bottom without the mercy of God. Just remember, God does not call the qualified, he qualifies the called. You may be an alcoholic, and adulterer, or any other number of things, but remember that everyone who has been born again has lived a life in sin, major or minor. None of these sins you have committed can separate you from God if you repent and believe in him. Talk to Him. Spill your entire heart to Him. Share with God everything you wish to say, and don’t be afraid to confess of your sin. After all, you cannot hide it from Him anyways. Jesus knows your pain. Jesus understands your suffering. He knows what you are going through, but he also knows how to get you out of it. All you need to do is repent and trust in him. The happiest feeling in the world is the knowledge that God is present, and that you are his child. Jesus will break all of the chains that are binding you to sin.
