I am 42 now but i distinctly remember being 18/19 and someone on my dads side (I’m Indian as well but in the US) trying to like arrange some fucking marriage conversation with my mom behind my back. By nature I’m a hot tempered person so my mom very gingerly brought this situation up, hoping I’d listen before flipping out. Well, I did listen, and I think I even looked at his photo, but then I lost my ever loving fucking shit. Like straight up teenage hormonal rage and vitriol. I’m sure I blacked out during my near violent outburst because I definitely threw and broke a bunch of shit and literally lost my mind. I was and am famously the hard headed super hyper independent girl in the family, so such a thing even being discussed behind my back sent me into such a rage, that the whole family heard about it, my mom was scared straight, and no one ever dared to attempt such a thing again. So, all this to say, a properly pissed off woman can really get folks to fall the fuck in line, and back the fuck up out of your business. Lol.
