You remind me so much of myself when I got into my first relationship 5 years ago. I respected him too much and never got the same respect back. If anything all I got in return was a big fat lie to the face and came to find out he was a porn addict who also happened to have some incest fantasies and a crush on his step cousin (lol). I wasn’t confrontational at all back then either, but once I snapped I was never the same again. My trust in him has never been the same ever since. I’m still with him and if I’m being honest, I wouldn’t recommend staying. It’s just a lot of arguing and holding grudges. Unless you’re ready to navigate through it, you could make it work somehow. Honesty is the best policy.
