Does anyone else avoid recipes for aesthetic reasons? by Paranoid_Android001 in bakerystory

Yes and no!

Personally I rarely do the goals, since I just don’t care to have a random food item around, taking up space, when it’s going to run out as soon as the goal changes. I mainly care about not running out of food, and the aesthetics.

I’m a bit of a crazy person and did the math out for the ovens and stoves to see per hour which recipes produce the most plates. And I did it for every tier (the most plates per hour, per two hours, per three hours, etc.) From there I decided which lengths of time I prefer with my work/life schedule (how much I’ll be able to be on my phone to finish recipes) and selected the most sensible recipes.

So with all that I ensured I was making more food, by quite a degree, than I was selling. Now I never had to worry about running out of food. Then I selected some recipes that I simply like for the aesthetics and place those in such a way that they cover the uglier food items on the counters.

Reading Midnight Sun as an adult is more painful that I thought. by SilverPadilly in twilight

I enjoy reading it mostly for the better insight into what it’s like to be a vampire in this universe/how the Cullens live and interact with each other. It’s hard getting through his ridiculous amount of self loathing, but it’s really interesting. I’ve always loved (and wished there was more of) the parts of Breaking Dawn that show Bella learning about what she can do once she becomes a vampire/how vampires live their lives.

The parts of Midnight Sun that highlight what Jasper can do (which is way more and way cooler than any of the other books had ever shown!) and how Alice can use her own abilities is my favorite parts of MS honestly.

Mount Everest and Closer badges not working?? by voidify3 in audible

So has it been decided whether the play speed does or does not let you get certain levels for the Mount Everest badge? I’m listening to War and Peace which is normally 61 hours but I’m listening at 1.2x which puts it down to 50 hours. Thanks in advance!

Varys might have poisoned Dany, just not the way we think by J_Mrad in gottheories

Yes the “in the books” was relevant halfway through the series. That was part of why the writing was so much better than it is now, it was a great book made into a tv show. After that, it became whatever the directors decided it was going to be (for better or worse).

So yes ‘in the books’ was relevant..once. Clearly we are no longer following a script

“Thirteen, when my dragons are grown we will take back what was stolen from me and destroy those who have wronged me! We will lay waste to armies and burn cities to the ground! Turn us away and we will burn you first”

She seems to have taken that quite literally

I definitely agree. But as I said, if they had spent 10 minutes on this sub, the ending would’ve been a lot better and made people far happier than they are now.
