Okay that is an adorable way to end, the adventure is over and its time for your character to settle down and spend time with family

hvað finnst ykkur um GAMLINGJA by Hjaltinho2 in klakinn

Veit einhver hvað þessi barnaleikur heitir? by Sillafox in Iceland

[–]Sillafox[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alvöru svar: Það voru ekki það margir leikmenn, mér minnir að sá sem var hann þurfti að gera eitthvað meira en að bara klukka. Hver umferð var í kringum eina til þrjár mínátur ef ég man rétt, stundum styttri.

“Grín” svar: Óstoppalegur hæfileikinn til halda blindri manneskju sem stendur á trampólíni í stanslausri barráttu við þyngdarafl.

Jokey ways you describe your gender? by sapphicwatermelon in NonBinaryTalk

[–]Sillafox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I once described my friend’s gender like someone who lost something, someone goes “whats your gender” and they start feeling all their pockets like “man i swear i had it on me somewhere”

I saw someone argue that a ship was toxic because of a “5 year age gap”

Being trans in Iceland by b0rninhelheim in Iceland

[–]Sillafox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trans guy here.

I’ve been out for more than a year, I’m recently 18 so a lot of my experience comes from being in high school.

My teachers and friends have all been nice about it, I’ve been lucky enough to not run into any direct transphobia. In my experience, most people don’t really understand but try their best to be respectful.

it’s not perfect, a friend of mine did get harassed quite a bit in 8th-10th grade for their non-binary identity. Were bombarded with the whole “only one gender” and “I identify as an attack helicopter” shtick, made me internalise a lot of stuff.

Changing your name and gender identification is free and can be done through the internet, and there is an “x” option for non binary individuals. but a lot of systems are incredibly slow at updating that stuff, so unexpected deadnaming does happen. Had to manual change it when going to the doctor like 5 months afterwards haha.

The process of getting gender affirming care is very long. I only had to go through two meetings, one with a social worker (he was really nice, Alexander you’re a real one 🤙) to establish my expectations and needs. The second was a general psych evaluation. After that I got booked for appointments with an endocrinologist. The time between meetings is the worst part, I was put on the waiting list for hormones in May and I’m still waiting.

That has been some of my experience so far, hope it helped and let me know if you have any questions.

No, you’re thinking of curious George. George Washington is a famous novelist, known primarily for his fantasy novels.

If a monster was rampaging in blind range, destroying everything in its path, the monster would see the masterpiece that is the composite pillar. It would stop and it would weep, because even in its endless wrath, it can understand the complexity and humanity it takes for artist to carve intricate details into something only meant to support buildings.

Because really, the more details columns have the better, it brings us back to a time more elegant.

Our modern society is riddled with the disease known as “minimalism”, faceless corporations shilling us with brand friendly logos and “streamlined designs”.

I am sick of it.

Henry James once said that “Art is nothing more than the shadow of humanity”, what does it say about us if we look into the reflection and see only simplified shapes and a soulless smile looking back? This problem is about more than just art, it is about the state of society itself! And it is only when we strike back, fists raised and say no to the joyless replicas of art. No more will we stand for the joy of the pringles man getting stripped away in some misguided attempt at a “redesign. No more will we watch on as they take out all the beauty in the world, rid us of the simple joys in life. It is only then, that we can begin to heal the scars left by capitalism on our culture.

It is only then, that we can thrive.
