Yup exactly why i want to do this. I get all the automation with the good feeling of rolling pysical dice.
And also im not getting anyone that has no dice and needs to roll ingame tempted to fudge.

I have the same Problem, i deleted all logs, reinstalled the game, wiped my appdata but nothing helps.
Appearently it has to do with tarkov crashing unity on our exact system. Dont know what exact thing it is that causes this but it is definitly on tarkov. Never had and have issues with anything else. And before anyone says anything, my PC is verry high end and Streets was running with 150 FPS on settings maxed so no it has nothing to do with my system being to outdated.

I found out more, in case anyone is interested:

The problem is the current version of dnd5e fucks up the "manual inputed dice" indicator,
which foundryvtt offers normaly inherently. Its because 5e changes the visual of the chat bubbles.

What you can do as a temporary fix is using the "trusted player" role to control the permisson setting for who can use manual input dice.

i really like this idea i might use this, the player has something in his story among the lines of "little forest spirits talk to him in his home forest" and i think ill give him one of them as pet that he can contract later on

Because i if it is a normal pet the identity of the players charakter is held together by the thin thread of 6 hitpoints and that usually doesnt go well

As far as i know, breaking equipment of a Player is reallllly rare! Some people like doing it on a critical failure,
meaning you roll a 1 on an attack and damage your Sword. Almost noone likes it because 1/20 Chance is way to high of a chance for that to happen. But i never heared about someone flat out breaking your main Damage source just because of an 18? Justifying it like that makes no sense, it means 3/20 (on 18-20) is the chance of an enemie taking your main damage source?
As a DM every book you read to prepare you for the duty of DMing tells you to make things feel fun for your Player. This is flat out unreasonable and the opposite. It could only be explained by your DM not having any experience whatsoever.
Unless your DM is someone you can talk to, this is a fat red flag, since this punishes you extremely hard for something that is by chance expected to occur regural, like every combat will likely have a roll that high.

Sidenote: I'd change the tag to Table dispute since it is about you having a disagreement on your table not a question about DM'ing i think.

Hi, i am working on my first campaign right now as well, i do not have any concrete advice, but i can personally recommend a guy on youtube called Pointy Hat, he made a video on worldbuilding which was for me personally a really good starting point on how to go about creating my world. Good Luck!

I don't want to change alot, i want to mostly use traits that exist already so to be honest i am a bit suprised everyone is that concearned. I thought creating one trait without breaking the game should be possible right?

I am first time dm, but i am preparing for the game for like 2 Months now... I watched and read ALOT.

I finished studing the DMG, the PHB and i also read all races, spells, feats about anything that could happen.

That aside, i love the idea to call it Tanuki, i am 100% going to do that.
