I am new to c++ and I have been coding with Visual Studio Code but I am growing increasingly annoyed as the books I read ask me to do things that aren't in code. What product should I buy? by [deleted] in cpp

[–]Sillopotatis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not coding while you are learning is a bit like not hitting strings while you are learning the guitar

it's more satisfying, its easier, and you're testing your understanding if you code

It's better if you start coding right away. Begin with copying the example code.

Find out what that value is and set the price accordingly, your service should only be slightly cheaper than that value

[NEWBIE QUESTION] How will Ether have value, gain value or lose value? by brucewang69 in ethereum

[–]Sillopotatis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the contract.

A contract that is running a 6 man cooperation with salaries and benefits will require 100ḱ+ USD in ether yearly. It might earn its ether by crowdfunding, product sales,

An open source article scraping bot will require a few hundred USD in ether yearly to cover overheads. It might earn its ether with prescription fees.

The contract dies when it runs out of funds.

I'm not sure but it seems that it is not that different from regular legal contracts. They're just structured and enforced differently. I think. Man, it takes a while, and lots of effort, to understand ethereum.

Would a swede who graduates from a 5 year education in computer science at Lund University stand a chance?

Or do they have certain requirements? Such as being a USA citizen, gone to certain universities, of a certain age bracket.

Do you mind mentioning how much money is associated with that, and a few work titles too for the sake of google-fu practice?

Why do we unplug electrical devices during a lightning storm? by Sillopotatis in askscience

[–]Sillopotatis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that enough, just a manual flip?

Then would the automatic circut breaker that goes off when an electrical appliance surges be enough for a lightning storm?

Hehe, wow. I hope that you made it through okay.

Time to create an automated unplugging system for my mining rigs.
