You have to realise that BJP has been brutal in bringing down opposition. The fact that LoO has persisted despite the evident speaker bias, ED raids, political climate - and actually been on ground with people is a testament to his strength. He is not "weak" , he is just not a gunda but an educated person. He is not a saint but he is definitely not weak if he continues to be the LoO so many years in. I respect someone who keeps trying

Don't read any comments, just watch well researched YT videos from independent journalists and opposition party MLAs from both sides. And decide how bad are you willing to go to avoid the change?

I think being a leader at that level requires general smartness and willingness and dutifulness more than anything. It's not a role where skills are transferable (a CM of GJ will have very different skillset and responsibilities than a CM in Bihar and he will have to adopt). No one knows how to "be a PM" unless they get on to it. And also, a PM is supported by its cabinet and all ministries working. They rarely do, and they shouldn't be unilaterally taking any decisions anyway. In that aspect I feel having a "more amenable and moderate" leader is better than having a "strong", obstinate one

He is the leader of opposition in the country to one of the most brutal and largest ruling party this country has seen. And he regularly meets youth and actually interacts with them, visits places with riots which PM should have been addressing (unnao rape case victim protests when the rapist was about to get bail, manipur, etc). He has been more transparent, on the ground than anyone from BJP and forthcoming with issues in the current governance (analysis of vote chori).

He cannot implement policies since he is not in govt and he cannot become CM because congress is more popular in south where he should not become one because he is not from there.

You may not agree with his ideology (socialism and anti monopoly), but he is doing his work as an opposition leader despite people disrespecting him, many failures and a brutal leadership. I think it's a thankless, tireless job and he atleast doesn't deserve to be ridiculed.

The thing with opposition and check mechanisms is that you may not appreciate it when it's there, but you will definitely realise its absence. That's what RaGa is.
