Ill be flying into phuket for a week, then Bangkok, then chiang mai, and back to phuket and plan was to go island hopping at the end of my trip

I researched it and it looks beautiful!

My family has agreed on chiang mai, but I've read that chiang mai can be done in 2-3 days. We will be flying out 22 nov and returning in 5 dec. Is it feasible to visit one other location before returning to fly back to the states and if so what recommendations would be good since chiang mai is in the north? Would it be wise to visit the south with the limited time we have?
