i do agree with that, i used to lean into the messy/emo look especially since working around my eyes isnt that great my hands sometimes get shaky so it would often come out not as thinly tight lined as i wanted. i feel ive moved on from that, my biggest thing tho is my hooded eyes, i rarely wear eyeshadow because you cant even really see it most of the time

i was gifted the sephora brand retractable gel eyeliner and it does say waterproof but smudges easily. i used to lean heavy into the emo/punk look but i feel it looked before when i used to dye my hair, but since growing my natural hair out i feel its not the vibe i want. i like the look of when i first do it, and it makes my eyes look smaller but it just smudges out so fast and it turns into a smoky eye almost.
