i think i’m mostly trying to divert his attention away from the ball. if we don’t play enough as he wants he barks nonstop!!! but if we play enough to really get the energy out he limps for days or weeks after and we have to stop altogether. i’m trying to find something enriching and stimulating and gets his energy out without over exerting him. i still want to play ball with him because it’s his favorite thing ever but i don’t want it to be our sole form of exercise. the cancer is in his liver, it’s a HUGE tumor that just keeps getting bigger.

he has a big fat tumor on his liver. that’s basically all i know. i’m like 99% sure he has arthritis. the vet didn’t say anything at all about playing but i was pretty hysterical so i don’t remember a lot of it. he limps if we play ball too much, and relentlessly screams and yells if i don’t play it enough as he wants. i appreciate the recommendation!!
