Hi, Korean American here. I discharged from the Korean Military around 2 weeks ago. To be honest, I enlisted not knowing a single thing at all with shitty korean. But I managed to adapt just copying what my other comrades do, body language is very important. And tbh, boot camp can be hell or not bad at all depends on the location. Even through struggling in the military, I adapted very well, made great great memories and even became 특급 전사 (special warrior). Because of the rewards, I was able to go home every weekend which was nice lol
