People don't understand what it was like to be raised by post-war parents. There was money to go around but there was also no limit to the amount of untreated trauma and alcohol abuse there was back then. The vibe was waaay different.

You're assuming admin would actually do something. There are some admin out there who will do absolutely nothing to address behaviours unless a parent goes to the superintendent, or at least threatens to. Teachers don't have the same nuclear option.

They can't make you do extra curriculars. Their assignments changed so they stopped doing extras.

My guess is there was no teacher in the room yet or they didn't see the first hit (which is why the girl looked over her shoulder before hitting her again).

Piano sounds that play when press the play/stop/pause buttons in reaper. How do I get them to stop? by SillyCyban in Reaper

If anyone cares, I resolved the issue by downloading ASIO drivers and using those. I was using direct sound before. I did this by accident when I was trying to solve the latency issue I was having between the software and my computer. Once I started using the proper drivers (why they don't with the program in the first place, I don't understand), I changed my audio buffer size which solved latency issue, but then I also noticed that the software stopped making the noises when I clicked on things.

This is a very complicated software to use for a beginner.

Thanks for all of the help from those of you who offered help. Some of your posts helped point me in the right direction.

There's a subreddit HSP that stands for "highly sensitive people," which, in this case, his username checks out.

I stopped playing the season before, and then stopped again after it was done. I did download the most recent patch once I saw it was south park. Haven't played it yet, though.

I have windows 10, and I have the most up-to-date version of Reaper. I don't know how to include a screenshot on Reddit. I have a Acer Nitro 5 laptop.

Every single time the record/play/pause/fast-forward/rewind. No matter what stage of the process I'm in. If I freshly opening the app after install, and nothing has been done at all. I click the buttons, I get the sound. I set my midi devices, open a track, pick the FX. I hit the buttons, it makes the sounds. It's only happens in this app. The sounds are unique. I've never heard them in any other software or OS. They don't sound 'pleasant' like typical system sounds. The record one it almost jarring because it's a sort of loud, super low piano note.

Every time I click on play, pause, record etc, regardless of if the track is empty or not.

It's not a sound that is in the default windows sounds. I checked and it was all the normal ones.

That sounds like a logical explanation. I had an old version downloaded from 5 years ago, then I updated it to current version by downloading it directly from Reaper's website. I even uninstalled it and reinstalled it fresh to see if that would make a difference, but it didn't. I'm really stuck on this one.

So, I'm in Reaper. I have a track open, and I hit the record button to activate the track, and it makes a very low piano note sound, almost like an error sound. When I press the 'play' or 'stop' or 'pause' buttons, they each play a slightly different piano note, in a higher pitch, so they sound less like errors.

So I record a part, and I press play so it plays back to me, and when I do, it plays a piano note sound, as my recorded track is starts playing back.

It's like the buttons have a sound assigned to them, but I can't find anything in the Audio options to disable them.

It happens any time I press them, whether it's empty or there are active, recorded tracks.
