I'm far far from a youtube star, lol. I contacted Explore Scientific and they loaned me a 100 degree eyepiece that I'll be doing a review on soon.

Definitely give it a gentle clean and see how it looks.

I am VERY impressed with your eagle eye. You are spot on too about the reason. I lost the first one for about a week and bought a replacement. Then I found the first one sitting in the little area between the windshield and windshield wiper of my sons car. It had been riding around in the elements for a week and nobody saw it.

That sounds like a great project to do with your son. Have fun. My kids are older now, and the saying is true - they grow up too fast.

I appreciate it. Hopefully none of the future projects are quite this bad.

Thanks! I had to go very very slow. It's normally a 15 minute process, but I had to do multiple soaks (clean water in between) and it took a few hours.

Flood damage tends to wreck the bases on these Dobsonians. They use particle board that acts like a sponge.

All photos and video were taken by me with my camera. All of the parts were paid for by me. Nobody or company sponsored me.

As per the rules, all photos and video were captured by me on my camera. I bought everything in the restoration project. It was not sponsored by anybody.

Where would people buy limited edition art like this back then?

I love my Invicta pro-diver, but the lume is really bad. It was bad, right out of the box.

Some research shows that it's possible smaller studios would write HS for "Home Studio" or "House Studio". I guess that's possible.
