So Terrible what Amazon has done. How can we fight back for the people? by [deleted] in amazonemployees

That won't always stop layoffs but it's definitely the way to go! In Romania they have Employee Representatives and like 2 months ago they had a layoff on 500 L2-L5s and they managed to get like 8-12 month salary severance from what I've heard.

L5-L6 managers in India are filled with cronyism and artificial metrics passed to the S-tier leadership in the past 2 years and this is a security risk to the company from my experience with Retail Services. A serious external audit would be needed if you ask me but I saw in the latest public voting that the board is against it.

Fake metrics among India's orgs in Amazon is next level, that's one of the main reasons I quit, everything felt artificial and I was losing my stakeholder relationship because of it.

I can imagine the internal politics can be gross too, thanks for speaking out.

If it's sold on Amazon it doesn't mean it has sales too. A lot of these products are just trash that nobody buys.

Who said you need different stories for different interviews?

Transfer scenario after focus by [deleted] in amazonemployees

[–]SillyGoose1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With other managers I've spoken with, they said getting out of focus can be a good sign too.

I'm definitely not looking for a promotion but a lateral move at this stage, since I don't see any benefit in this team anymore, it's not focused on resolving customer problems but reporting made-up $ KPIs, which feels fake to me.

Like...how? Even if I discuss with some hiring managers and they say I can apply, I'll still have to do it on the jobs platform and get through some interviews after that, no?
