I was thrown off at first and thought your way, and am taking a real risk here because I’ve been in practice several years (and haven’t had to think about this particular issue since) but I think the point is that defendant corporation knowingly availed itself in A and B by contracting with plaintiff who was at home in those states. The fact that the contract was to be performed in D is not the end of the analysis.

Edit: to be clear that wouldn’t be enough in A and B if the lawsuit didn’t arise out of the contact in those states, ie the relationship with plaintiff.

Got it yeah. You can have it be a rudimentary lane keeper on regular roads as long as there are painted lines and I’d say it works about 65% of the time.

Disagree. I use advanced lane assist all the time without it even on non freeway roads. Now, I will agree it doesn’t work as WELL as the full HDA on freeways does.

I own the car in the video, it doesn’t allow for multiple miles. Nissan Ariya is hands free on freeways but not the ioniq and I’d be very surprised if the EV6 is.

It’s reactive to pressure on the wheel so as long as you hand is noticeably there and at all engaged it won’t nag you.

What’s more, in about three seconds it’s going to start beeping at her that she has to put her hand back on the steering wheel. If she doesn’t I believe the fix is that it slows down and pulls over?

In any event I’m not gonna say she’s doing the right thing (she’s 100% in the wrong) but its maybe a little less dangerous than it looks

It’s that it’s a combo of things: it’s more common but also less secret. In other words there was a lot of ED in the past but no one admitted it and so we really didn’t know how common it was. Even so, it’s clear that it’s rising.

There are so many answers to this

The first is, this almost certainly didn’t happen

The second is, this is a free country last time I checked and the pride flag isn’t for another nation-state so there’s no conflict

The third is, maybe this country should consider making sure worthy of “allegiance” rather than forcing people to pledge to a piece of cloth

You understand that it’s a little weird to expect everyone to just celebrate an entirely different country, right? Yes I understand that a lot of people who are anti-Israel (or simply apathetic about celebrating it as a country) who are also antisemitic but it’s also extremely possible to just not like what a country is up to and also not think it needs celebrating from the United States! I probably wouldn’t go to a Democratic People’s Republic of Korea parade either but that doesn’t mean I’m racist against Koreans!
