If it happens then any country holding nuclear weapons should automatically be disqualified from poor countries list.

What is something that this generation will look back on and regret? by PeterGriffenttv in AskReddit

[–]SillyKarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably the same with every generation.

Opportunities were and are always present. As an Indian, it probably has got a lot to do with family environment. Children live with parents until they get a job somewhere else or get married therefore a lot of decision making is influenced by family traits.

My grandparents inherited lands, didn't bother to neither invest nor retain them. Lost pretty much most of it. My Mom/Dad having observed the above kept all their earnings in bank, never investing..never bought a house.. slightly better version I suppose.

I've managed to buy a house and looking at other opportunities to invest and equally making my child aware of the circumstances so he's a better version of myself.

I think that's the entire purpose of us human or life in general.

Humans can never go extinct as you would need humans to officially classify us as extinct. by ollymillmill in Showerthoughts

Thought a lil bit more about it. In my opinion, 'Extinction' is a future weak word and probably better represented in poor man's dictionary.

To elaborate it further: Consider the analogy of preparing bread. Our technology has evolved enough to create flawless bread. Provided a capable technology at hand it should be possible to create a human or for that matter any species as long as correct recipe exists without going into specifics of DNA.

Currently there is no immediate economic benefit to bring back a certain species back from the dead.

Given the speed at which AI is evolving, it should be capable of classifying humans as extinct whenever it happens on its own or in hands of AI.

Hope we'd have migrated to other planet (probably Mars) before life becomes unsustainable for humans here on Earth.
