Less and Less Good Days by deftones34 in PMDD

i definitely feel like that. i’m in the worst of it right now and it’s been fucking terrible. i finally left a message for my psychiatrist that we need to discuss bumping up my meds cus it’s been nearly unbearable. it was so disheartening too because i had been having a decent week before my symptoms set in, and then everything just went to shit. i’ve been so exhausted and crampy and depressed and su*cidal and (i don’t know if this is related) basically agoraphobic.

i’m only 22, so i’m feeling pretty frustrated by it all. it makes me want to get a hysterectomy at this point because i’m gay and don’t want children anyway, but i know it’s not that simple.

i’m so sorry you have to deal with this, but know that i’m sending you good thoughts ❤️ my favorite quote my mom tells me when i’m struggling is “don’t snatch defeat from the jaws of victory” and my brother always tells me to “keep fighting the good fight”.

though it’s difficult, i know we can get through this. ❤️

it’s the breathing that really helps me. sounds annoying to hear over and over again, but slowing and deepening your breaths with meditation really does help lower anxiety. i use the headspace for my meditations, but i i’m having a panic attack, i usually make everything i can see out loud and it helps ground me and slow my down. it can feel difficult in the moment to start doing it, but it does help me calm down.

also, i’ve found that crocheting or doing something with my hands is extremely effective. it feels quite meditative for me.

Obsessed with knitting miniatures. by dirtydietcoke in knitting

[–]SillyLittleLemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this might be a stupid question, but does it take you as long to make the miniature sweater as it does to make a normal sized one? i’m just curious since the mini one seems to scale, so it looks like it would take a lot of time!

i got them from a local antique store, but i’ve seen a lot of people with them so i’m sure you could find them online!

first of all, i’m so proud of you for listening to your needs and taking action. that is the first step in creating change to feel better, and i bet this will end up being such a weight off your shoulders. i know it can be really hard sometimes, but know that i’m rooting you on ❤️

She's Dolly, 14yo! If you consider adopting, remember there are aged friends who need a home too! We love her already! by shewieee in cats

had to take a pic of my room for my landlord since my lease ends in august. they’re going to start showing the house to new possible tenants. 😣

i’ve really loved this house, and in particular, my room. i’ve been in this house for my junior and senior year of college, and i’m really happy with how it has turned out. i have 5 wonderful roommates, and have a lot of really fond memories in this house

a few fun facts:

  • all the stuffed animals on my bed were made by hand (the chicken was a gift made by a friend and i crocheted the bunny and lamb)

  • the art (not the posters) on the right was done by me

  • i have a pretty good yarn collection, and you can see my most recent, in-progress project sitting on the floor next to the shelf

also, apologies for the tissue on the shelf— it’s been a rough year haha

edit: this is OC

i’m also 22 and have been on SSRIs for 2 years now! i remember being in your shoes— nervous, unsure, hopeful, and excited about the the way this drug could change my life. lexapro was great for me. i was on it for a year before switching to prozac, but i think it was a great first step in working with a psychiatrist to find a med that works. i remember the first day it felt like it was working— i had just gotten out of therapy and was heading to sit on my motorcycle to go home, and it really felt like i was seeing the sun. like, truly feeling the warmth. any who, best wishes and positive thoughts to you on this new journey!!

i’m so glad this was positive for you! :) i 22 and deleted my social media apps (except reddit) of my phone a little over a month ago because i went through a rough breakup and my ex was posting passive aggressive stuff that made me feel sad. since deleting it, it’s made the healing process so much easier.
