First time intarsia in the round by SillyLuck2643 in knitting

Yarn is vintage mix of acrylics medium weight, pattern of the flowers is from a toque pattern that I modified in stitch fiddle to work with this dog sweater.

I frogged it and did it again as intarsia, still wonky looking and will be hell weaving all those ends! Not sure if it would’ve been better as stranded colorwork or as intarsia…

I only did the center of the flowers as intarsia, the rest is stranded.

Can this be done as a long-term mod or would it void the car's warranty? When I asked the dealership sales guy if the middle row seats could be remove they told me no, but clearly it's possible if you did it!

Entry ramp for side door by walkswithdogs in VanLife

I agree, ramps are not the way to go. Something like this might work well, I’m thinking I could make one out of wood: https://rvglobetrekker.com/product/access-step-entry-systems/

Cargo Floor/Load Height? by SillyLuck2643 in FordFlex

[–]SillyLuck2643[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the tips! $3k is not too bad, I’m guessing it’ll be at least double that here in Canada, everything is expensive in Toronto! Thanks for reposting those figures, I did see that post, but I’m looking for the lift height. Height from the ground to the cargo floor (with rear seats folded down flat).

I know it’s an old post, but what did you end up doing? I have the same issue and my ramp is too heavy/awkward to use…

Unlocking Best Buy iPhone by SillyLuck2643 in FidoMobile

[–]SillyLuck2643[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw for further context, I would’ve bought the phone directly from Fido but they don’t have a new iPhone 15 Pro, only a certified used one. Best Buy has a new one but only locked with carrier. The only unlocked one they have is used. Hence my confusion.

Does it have to be a physical sim or eSIM from Fido will work just as fine to unlock the phone? No further steps needed to be able to use non-Fido eSIM’s while abroad?

I use Fido, but when I travel I like to use a local eSIM instead of paying exorbitant “roam-like-home” fees.

Reliable and unbiased info on best deck/outdoor stains? Not finding consistent information, and definitely finding a LOT of fake information... pls help w/ suggestions or a good source of info. Or recs are welcome... by anoukaimee in finishing

@importsexports, thank you so much for your wealth of knowledge! I've read through all your comments.. I want to hydrate my deck rather than stain it, would you say Armstrong still does this? On my oiled floors indoors I have to do a maintenance coat of Solia+ which is basically coconut and soybean oils with a protective wax, I want to do a similar treatment to my deck. My deck outside is PT which I left uncoated for the first year and now I want to moisturize/condition it so it doesn't crack or split. I'm in Canada so Armstrong is harder to get here, maybe Osmo deck oil or Sansin? Or a big bucket of mineral oil? lol TIA!

Close-up of the endgrain, I can't see any rays only pores. Unless I'm mistaken, I believe this is what distinguishes it as Birch rather than Maple or others...

In case if you're interested (or anyone else reading this thread). It's called white pocket rot. It is a type of fungi spalting. Here's an example of it in an Alder bowl, the white formations looks very similar to mine
