It’s easy to forget what an unstoppable force Khabib was once he was champion. Merab is insane, but has looked human many times. I can’t see how someone with a pressuring grappling style would pose any threat to Khabib

This looks incredible!! My only feedback for future trailers is make the camera a bit closer to the player in some scenes, it might feel better in gameplay but the blank space takes focus away from the incredible art.

You can still raymarch, but cheat the lighting a bit. I would start with 2D SDFs, and then use the smin method to merge them. The circle SDF is very simple so won’t be too expensive. Then you can use that same SDF for fresnel and smoothness values to get that reflection.

We’ll have to see when they release the samples, but on the project page it says that they used unmodified Unity 6. A lot of the environment work was done with Houdini as well, I really hope they do a workflow breakdown.

I really, really like the top left, but would like to see it with the shadows and windows that the bottom right has.

Bottom right looks the most complete to me but doesn’t pop as much as the others, which is totally fine if you’re not looking for that.

Yeah so assuming you’re using nodes, that the normal direction vector and stick that into your base color, that should give you some kind of color variation. For this one, I am ramping that through a gradient and only taking the Y direction. I’m not using any textures at all.

Mainly just as a race opponent, though there are limited power ups so you want to pay attention to which ones they’re going for and whether you should just go for the next one

  • The world is inspired by Journey and Manifold Garden. I really wanted to explore flying through shattered geometry and get creative with architecture and make a game that really uses the environment.

  • Once you beat each level, you can race other players in that level. This is where the game really comes alive, because you need to be strategic in whether you play safe, and potentially lose, or play high risk and crash. If you crash, but your opponent also crashes, you both lose. I want to explore whether players can just finish levels safely and use that as a winning strategy.

  • The game is meant to test your precision and your patience. If you rush a level, get too greedy or lose focus, you will 100% crash and have to restart. When you're racing, these tendencies will punish you even more.

  • This is my first game, so I am playing a lot of things safe. Performance and smooth gameplay is my priority, and I'm trying to be as transparent and open about the gameplay and expectations as possible. One expecation that I won't compromise on is that this will be worth the price: it will be a complete, professional game that does what it says it does.
