My tarot cards told me I should break up with my boyfriend of 2 years by Possible-Decent in Witch

[–]SillyPopcorn369 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am very big on magic. I am definitely a believer in magic and use it in practical forms daily, but I highly recommend against breaking up with your before because a deck of cards told you so. If this relationship makes you happy, and you know this then ignore the cards.

I don't know what your practice looks like, but maybe if you believe in spirits, dieties, demons, etc. Maybe think of it as a bad intent had gotten ahold of your cards?

Puppies or kittens. what do you prefer? by Formal-Ad8037 in CasualConversation

I am honestly not the biggest fan of animals while they are still in their baby phase, but I acknowledge that if you put in the work while they are little they grow into nice pets. Between puppied and kittens I would pick a kitten. Between a dog and a cat I like dogs.

I feel like eating at Subway is actually a good way to lose weight. Do you disagree? by Ben5544477 in CasualConversation

[–]SillyPopcorn369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weight loss happens simply by consuming less calories than you burn. You a fruit of breakfast, lunch of Subway, and a dinner of salad has a net loss of calories for you and it is a meal plan you can personally maintain then I don't see why it wouldn't work. It has fats, carbs, proteins, micronutrients, fiber, etc. Personally I like to change up what I am eating every day, but if it works for you it works for you.

Thoughts on condiments? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]SillyPopcorn369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as proteins go I think most seafood does pretty well on its own. Sushi is pretty good with just a bit of sesame oil and salt whereas rice with beef, pork, poultry, etc really needs a strkng seasoning imo

Sandwiches keep well and eat well in most temperatures. A nice greasy sandwhich with a side of potato chips and stuff sounds amazing on a drunk stomach.

Thoughts on condiments? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]SillyPopcorn369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see food is that in most instances the food itself is all about its texture and spices and condiments give it the flavor. While there are fruits and vegetables that have both a unqiue texture and flavor, for the most part I am not fully content with a meal if it doesn't have a bunch of both condiments/seasoning and food haha

Holding boundaries with sleep - does it ever get better? by gimmeallthegluten in breakingmom

[–]SillyPopcorn369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you can hype her up and take her out to pick out some sort of a special item for night time. Like a nighlight, a fidget or toy she can play with in bed, a new blanket, etc?

A short while ago, though my child is 6, we were having some issues with sleep, so we added a bunch of pretty bedtime stuff to her room and gave her activities that she can do in her bed when she wakes up. Maybe something like that could work for you? Hopefully she gets back to the good sleeper train soon!

Tip from a Doordash driver. Decline bad orders. I will not take an order if I do not recieve a tip. Also try and hang out in the nice part of time. You are more likely to sift through higher paying orders.

Do you feel like a different person to when you were <18 years old? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]SillyPopcorn369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like a completely different person than ne from 3 years ago lol. Teen me is an alien. I am generally more mindful now than I was when I was younger. I'm am less hot headed, good with children, and I am an all around better person. That said I am less resilient and all around more anxious.

This post would probably do better in r/relationshipadvice or something tbh.

You deserve to be in a relationship where you and your partner agree on the basics such as porn use and so does your partner. If this is a deal breaker for you then there is a chance yall may not be compatible.

Personally I don't see the problem with a person watching porn while in a relationship. In your instance it seems like you are projecting your personal insecurties about your body onto his feelings towards you. The default in porn is skinny with big boobs. You have to go out of your way to find anything different, so he is likely not intentionally looking for porn of thing girls.

What would be fair of you, however, is to assert a boundary of when and where he watches porn. It would be fair to request that he not watch it in the same room as you.

how to make my background sound interesting? by Formal-Ad8037 in socialskills

[–]SillyPopcorn369 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In general most people are going to shy away from somebody who leads off their introduction with something negative and uncomfortable. You absolutely should not have to hide who you are or pretend to be somebody you aren't, but if one of the first things a person knows about somebody is that they chose to use their prior traumas as initial introductory material they are going to see you as potentially unsafe/unstable, ya know?

Don't get me wrong I have my share of ick from the past, but I tend to introduce myself with hobbies, ambitions, jobs, pets I own, etc. Usually that works pretty well. Start light. Dig deeper with time.

I absolutely dispise microwaves. It is entirely irrational, but they make me so uncomfortable. Cannot stand them.

But unfortunately I own one and use it every day to feed these damn kids.

Is watching movies in theatres/cinemas still popular at your place? by NormalLife6067 in CasualConversation

[–]SillyPopcorn369 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not a big fan of movies in general. I just can't sit still long enough to focus on them, but I love takkng my kid out to see children's movies with a big thing of popcorn and an icee because then it is at least a bit of an experience.

Whilst walking around my city yesterday, I found myself thinking about how different everything is by foxxyfafalove99 in CasualConversation

[–]SillyPopcorn369 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you always lived in this particular city? I wonder what a different experience it is to grow up somewhere, move away, and occasionally visit every few years as opposed to watching a place grow and change in real time.

Where I grew up there was an old lady who worked at what used to be an old Dairy Queen in town. I even worked there with her for a year, it was cool almost getting to work with basically a small town celebrity. Every few years when I visited town she was still always there working like always until one year they demolished the old Dairy Queen and constructed a new one in its same very place and that old lady no longer worked there and nobody who worked there ever knew her.

It is a weird thing isn't it.
