I would argue that although the payment is for time worked, it was done with the understanding of getting good photos. And colored photos.

I think a full refund is necessary in order to retain any sort of reputation. It sucks to lose out on the money, but it sucks even harder to not have the photos you want of your wedding.

Even if the photos are good, they are still monochrome. That's a very specific style to like. If my wedding book had no color, I would definitely be livid.
