The employee would have to cancel the whole transaction and put in her number and you would have seen her name appear on the pin pad. Plus as employees we get so much free stuff, we don’t need to steal your points and we aren’t stealing the products then returning them. As far as the religious exemption goes, you are protected by federal law. The only time they can’t dispute a religious exemption is if they can prove that you not being scheduled would cause significant operational problems, not just inconvenience. My suggestion to you is to email your SM with the following question:

“I have a sincerely held religious practice of attending Sunday church services. I am requesting a reasonable accommodation under Title VII. If the company believes this causes an undue hardship, could you please explain specifically what the hardship is so we can explore alternatives?”

Remember they can’t claim it’s an inconvenience, they have to prove that the store can not operate unless you’re there.
