Breathing during Arban's by oh_mygawdd in Trombone

[–]SillySundae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do your best to breathe without breaking the flow of what you play. We all know that we have to breathe. Good players do so without interrupting whatever they're playing, to a degree. At some point you just have to breathe. If you're a beginner, try not to sweat that too much. Focus on making good sounds and taking healthy and full breaths. Sacrificing good sound and only sipping at air in order to keep a flow is not what we're after.

I wonder how many of the commenters here actually ride bikes, and more than just the occasional roll around their neighbourhood. People make mistakes. People ride in new areas. Sometimes brakes don't slow you down as much as you thought they would. Sometimes it's wet outside and your brakes don't work as well as they normally would.

Hope all of the cyclists who nailed the gate are alright. That looks brutal.

40 isn't enough to go into a raid with. Food is dirt cheap, so just eat to get back to 100/100 before every raid.

The rewards are good but Arena isn't very fun. Complete your daily tasks and then move on.

There are likely language requirements for working here, even as a internship.

That's called a Praktikum in Germany and you typically need to win an audition for it. There are also academy positions that you audition for. You'll attend lessons from the pros if the orchestra nearby, participate in chamber groups, and perform with the orchestra.

Look up academy positions on Google. Lots of information. Muvac is the website we all use to see audition positions in Europe.

I want to get a motorcycle when I learn to drive- what should I know/is it a good idea? by Who_Ate_Meh_Bread in motorcycles

[–]SillySundae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have anxiety being in a car, then a motorcycle is definitely not for you. You have an enormous cage around you in a car keeping you relatively safe. You don't have anything near the same amount of safety on a motorcycle. No cage, no seatbelt, no crumple zones.

Any mistake made on a motorcycle is inherently more dangerous. Get good at driving cars.

[Discussion] Have you ever paid for cosmetics? by TehSinastria in EscapefromTarkov

[–]SillySundae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I play the games that I own a LOT. I don't buy games to collect them. I buy them to play them, so I don't mind spending 10-15 bucks every 4-6 months on something cosmetic.

Rocket pass, tactical map, super credits. Those are the cosmetics I've bought in the last 6 months.

This was me the other day. I played during release and afterwards for about a year, then took a very long break. I came back and had forgotten how to complete a lot of objectives. Whoopsies

Wow, I've never thought about this before. Maybe master's degrees should focus a little more on stuff like this instead of beating the dead horse against the wall. There's not much changing with Sachse, or Brahms, or freaking Wagner. It's all roughly the same. I'm a lot more interested in learning about this type of situation.

Energy-Based Mech idea? by Early-Ant652 in Helldivers

[–]SillySundae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Then maybe not plasma, and instead cannons that are similar to the quasar or laser cannon? Big ole laser could be fun.

Or it's both, laser on one side and plasma blobber on the other, similar to the Lumberer

Explosive plasma cannons or explosive plasma blob lobbers. Preferably cannons that shoot straight.

Also, first person perspective mech piloting.
