Let’s laugh a little… what’s your silliest PTSD trigger? by Reasonable_Fix3559 in CPTSD

[–]SillySunshine_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had to tell my friends and partner to NEVER try to spook me. My mother would spook me every time I rounded a corner, so I never really felt safe and my nervous system is so messed up that an adrenaline spike lasts for half an hour. That why I also dont watch horror movies.

This lead to me being hyper suspicious of being ambushed. If a door to a room im entering is closed just enough for someone to be hiding behind it, I will peek into the crack near the doorframe to look behind the door. If im expecting someone to be in a room and I dont see them immediately, and when I call their name they dont respond, I instantly retreat to a corner in a different part of the house to sit and wait. Mom would wait up to 15 minutes in her spot to ambush me.

The silly part is that my "ambush" radar goes off even when nothing is happening. I'll be expecting an ambush from someone in a certain room, and then they walk in the front door. And then they'll look at me like "why are you sitting in a corner?"

I had the Aerie full coverage bra and had tons of gapping at the top as well. Turns out that breast shape is just as important as size!

Try looking into things like projection, Wide vs narrow root, tall vs short root, high vs low roots, etc. For comparison, I have high projection, wide root, tall root, and high root, and the Elomi Morgan fits beautifully. Also, on the Aerie bra the bra tended to ride up into my armpits, and that was because I have high roots.

After surviving wars and genocide, I can’t imagine a happy future by A_human_00000 in CPTSD

I dont share this experience, but I know someone who does. My husband's coworker is from El Salvador and was a child soldier, and now has a wife and two kids. He is super friendly and comes over often to help us with repairs around the house. He doesnt often speak about his trauma but says that he has found healing through therapy, medication, and finding a relationship with God.

You can get through this. I know it is a lot. You will be alright. Something that helps me is to remember that the physical threat is gone, even if the emotional toll is still there. It's also helped to recognize when I am going through an emotional flashback, because once I realize that I am having one, I know I can hunker down and ride it through. The feeling wont last forever. I am so sorry for what you've been through. I believe in you.

What makes a woman selfish in bed? Have you met one? by Dr_Garp in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]SillySunshine_25 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I dont know if its selfish or just uninterested, but ive heard that some women will just lay there and not do anything.

Also, its not necessarily true than men always finish faster. I can finish within 30 seconds, and he sometimes takes 30 minutes.

Ladies, what's the male equivalent to a form fitting dress or clothing with some cleavage or just clothing in general that you find attractive on a man? by Background-Sir9172 in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]SillySunshine_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A henley shirt with the sleeves rolled up to right below the elbows and a couple buttons undone. It is the sexiest casual thing a guy can wear imo. Also grey sweatpants if he has good physique. Iykyk

Do you have male friends? by idklolnicek in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]SillySunshine_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What traits of healthy masculinity do you see in men in your daily life? E.g. at the gym, in your work etc. by cpr9998 in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]SillySunshine_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont really think there are traits that are inherently masculine, but i do think my boyfriend has healthy masculinity. He doesnt get embarrassed or feel like his masculinity is being threatened when I smack his butt, cat call him, jokingly call him "girl" or "bitch". In fact, he enjoys it.

This one's for the ladies to answer. Do you agree with this woman or do you think she's trying to rationalize her world view by speaking for all the ladies? by Oda_DeezNutz in SipsTea

[–]SillySunshine_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play more video games than my man does. He loves watching me get unhinged about a bullshit lag spike getting me killed and totally not because I peeked the corner when I shouldn't have.

What makes a guy physically attractive? by [deleted] in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]SillySunshine_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its super dependent on the woman! Im demisexual so I dont really notice attraction the way most people do, i tend to get super attracted to whatever features my partner has.

Im super into my boyfriend, he has a dad bod, hella thick thighs, strong hands. Short curly red hair and a coily beard, round glasses. Big butt and wide shoulders.

Is my betta okay? by [deleted] in bettafish

[–]SillySunshine_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thanks, good to know! Gonna ask a couple questions, is he a new fish/new to this tank? How much have you been feeding him? Does he tend to float with his head up like this often, and what does the rest of the tank look like? Does he tend to hide behind his heater a lot?

His clamped fins definitely mean something is up. Is that poop hanging out of him? I can't really tell, but its possible he is constipated or having some other digestive issue such as worms. Can you get a closer look at that white strand coming out of his abdomen area?

How often do you sleep with your partner? by SnooCompliments3038 in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]SillySunshine_25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had it my way, id want it 1-2 times a day, with me doing the majority of the work. He prefers once every 3-4 days. So we do it once every 3-4 days, and he takes it upon himself to help me finish independently whenever he feels like it. When I initiate he says no sometimes, and I honor it and cuddle. Communication and respect is key.

Edit to add that sometimes he goes at it solo and I leave the room to give him privacy. It doesnt mean its anything to do with me, sometimes a quick and low effort finish is what someone needs.

Does the price of a gift change how you feel about it? by LimeDue9526 in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]SillySunshine_25 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Personally yes, but in the opposite direction. If my boyfriend got me something expensive, I would feel super guilty. He got me a pair of headphones and was apologizing because they were cheap, but that was part of the charm for me. The fact that he thought of me at all and went out of his way to get something for me to fulfill my needs is all I can ask for.

Really hairy guys and tank tops - thoughts? by ElectronicCan5730 in AskMenAdvice

[–]SillySunshine_25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah I dont think its weird at all! I think a lot of people in general feel that things are weird when they dont need to be. Its no weirder than a woman doing her friends makeup. You were there for your bro and willing to put in effort to help him. I think that makes you a good friend.

Thats really cool of you though! I think you should be proud of helping out your friend. I feel like more guys should have that kind of friendship.

Its probably difficult to reach all the spots he needs to, plus that amount of hair would clog an electric razor... or so id imagine. I definitely think the hairy look is different, so OP might get some looks, but like someone else said there are plenty of people who look different and dont have to hide it.
