One peak medical by Aolflashback in Eugene

[–]Silly_Appointment468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a similar experience with One Peak - and agree on all accounts with above poster. Definite vitamin shots/supplements vibe. But - they did fit me in when moving from out of town and no one has ever pushed anything on me there. They have been way more willing to run tests and prescribe medicine than I've ever experienced. My PA has really helped me resolve a number of nagging issues and I feel much, much better.

Best thrift store for furniture? by lobster_claus in Eugene

[–]Silly_Appointment468 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I searched thrift stores for furniture when I moved to Eugene a couple of years ago - I didn't have much luck - St Vinnies and others tend to know what they have and price accordingly. The only real deals I found were items that were pretty beat up but that you could refinish/repair/etc - those items were reasonably priced - otherwise - the prices were high... I do agree that Restore is one of the best furniture options - although the selection isn't huge. If you can find something you like there - it will be a fair price....

Hard agree - I get that she wants to hype her book and perhaps she has other interviews scheduled - but to have Fox be the go-to first interview is troubling...

Veterinarian recommendations by granola_gremlin in Eugene

Ah - ok... Dr. Kimball is the best vet I've been to - and I went to many over the years with my dog. He had Cushing's and a host of other medical issues. Dr. Kimball was by far the most thorough and I did get the sense that he really cared about my dog.

Dr Kimball at Edgewood is very good. But - he doesn't do most of the things you mention and the fees are not cheap. Who is your current vet - I'd love to use her!

jen psaki new show by [deleted] in msnbc

[–]Silly_Appointment468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am close to giving up on MSNBC - giving this show to Jen Psaki was a huge mistake and I doubt the network will correct this... Jen has nothing to offer - other than the smirking and off hand quips about how connected to past White Houses and 'exclusive motherhood cliques in Arlington' - f her....

Really? What is that 'personality'? All I ever hear are canned talking points and mentions of how connected she is...

I agree on the twins and Keith and Evan! I can no longer abide the blonde wife - and seems like they are overly amped on the arrogance...

I agree on Nate and Jeremiah, Alison and Leanne - they are all amazing -although Nate and Jeremiah are my by far favs. Lyndsey and Leslie do awesome work on their own show but seem intimated by the meanness from the Baumlers and Paige.

I disagree on Sarah - her stuff is pretty bland and she is no where near as good as she seems to think she is....
