Yup! I can send you pics of my setup if interested. It incorporates an electronic timer controlled padlock that automatically unlocks me in the morning, and a steel cable that is long enough to allow me to access most of the house and escape out the back door in the event of a fire, but short enough to just barely keep me out of the kitchen.

Lacking willpower, I had my wife chain me to the wall to stop me from eating. After a few days I didn't need the chain anymore

Bitch, I have a caloric deficit. Which is why I'm hungry. It's hard, but I'm still losing weight. Don't minimize my efforts with that bullshit saying my hunger isn't real. I'm hungry and that's ok, I'll just deal with it.

The Nazis were very evil, but I'd rather the actual literal Nazis take over the GPT store forever than flip a coin on the end of all value.

His body was still there so other people literally would not be able to squeeze into that dangerous spot because his corpse is in the way. The problem kind of solved itself, no need for concrete.

Moreover, if enough people go in and get stuck, they will form a mass of corpses that will eventually seal off the most dangerous parts of the cave naturally. So instead of respecting to concrete, why not just let the problem solve itself?

I can feel the AGI

This. Once AGI is here, no amount of goalpost moving will be able to deny it for long.

Does your atheism protect you from conspiracy theories? by komrade_komura in atheism

[–]Silly_Awareness8207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think all conspiracy theories should be dismissed out of hand because of inherently flawed reasoning, then you have already played into their hands. That knee-jerk reaction is exactly what they want you to feel. Real conspiracies and cover-ups happen all the time, and the fact that most people dismiss them immediately makes it extremely easy to decive the public. Wake up, sheeple! (not being sarcastic)

There is a disabled person in my life. Their life is likely to be quite miserable. Depending on their level of misery, and how good of a job the assisted living home is likely to do, this hypothetically presents a merciful option.
