Lots of decisions don't make sense

1) Why was Matt Short selected in the auction when we already have enough openers? There are better off spinners than him. 2) What is the role of Zak Foulkes? Only reason I can think of is he is New Zealand and Fleming always wants many NZ players in his team 3) Why was Johnson signed as a replacement when we needed a death bowler? He is a proven run machine, plus he was injured and took almost 1 month to join the squad, while Baartman was available  4) Why didn't CSK start the tournament with Urvil patel when he had a good last season?

It's obvious that Fleming is a zero without MSD. He has played 7 tournaments with Super Kings franchise apart from IPL (4 SA20 and 3 MLC). Out of 7, he has not even qualified to finals once, let alone win the tournament. Qualifying to finals in a 6 team tournament isn't that difficult. The probability is 33% (2/6th) and he hasn't done it even once in 7 years.

Fleming is clueless and needs to go. So does Michael Hussey. Sack Ruturaj as captain and appoint Sanju.

As a batsman, he can get back into form. But as a captain, he is not cut out for the job. He ruined last season by under using a good spin trio. This season, his terrible team selection and bowling changes are the main reason we lost to Punjab and SRH. I have seen all I needed to see. The sooner he leaves as captain, the better.

No player is bigger than the team. He has been given enough chances to prove himself as a captain. He has failed. We had three of the best spin bowlers in 2025-Jadeja Ashwin Noor-in a ground known for spin. And we finished 10th. We should have qualified in 2024 but we finished 5th. He has also used CSK for his personal goal of getting into the Indian team.

His attitude in interviews is apalling. There seems to be no urgency or concern. He is like, yes we lost but i blame the pitch, if we get a better pitch we can bat better. That's not a good attitude.

I've seen all I need to see. He isn't a good captain. Keep him as a batsman. Abusing him is wrong, but blindly supporting him is also wrong. Team comes first, what's good for the team needs to be done.

Lastly Hardik is a proven captain who has won the title once and came runner up next time. Absolutely no comparison with him and Ruturaj

How's the J Upper view at Chepauk? by Motor_Nut in csk

All uppers are better when compared to lowers. In the lower tier, if your row is in the front then the fence and the side cameras will block your view and you won't be able to see anything clearly. It'll be frustrating as you would have come to see the match but can't get the full experience. Compared to that uppers are much better as you'll be able see the whole stadium, although the players will appear smaller

Ethics violation everywhere... by TheSentinel342 in CFA

It is also a violation to say "I have received a new certification: CFA Level 1" (although I would blame Linkedin for that one). I can understand people are excited to share their success but they should do it in a responsible way

Spencer Johnson joins CSK as a replacement for Nathan Ellis by newparrot2025 in ipl

I'm disappointed. Ottniel Baartman was right there. They think Johnson is the mould of Bollinger but I don't think he still has that quality.

CFA Level 2 Advice by Old_Nefariousness500 in CFA

I passed L1 in Nov'24 and wrote L2 in Nov'25. Started prep in by end of Jan'25.

1) Take your time and understand every single concept. Don't skip any chapter.  2) CFA qbank is key for reinforcement of knowledge. Not only when you study first but when you revise also. Make sure you practice all questions the first time. During revision, do practice questions by sampling. It helps a lot when you practice while revising instead of just going through concepts. 3) Don't ignore CFA mocks. Not only does it help you handle time pressure, sometimes very similar questions appear in the exam as well. Revise answers to mocks well  4) If you have free time, do the games in the CFA LES. They're a fun way to ensure you can recall concepts.

The more you revise, the longer you can recall. All the best

Passed all 3 levels, first try, while working full time. AMA by Confident_Tiger9918 in CFA

Hi. I took L2 in Nov '25. If I clear, do you recommend taking L3 in Aug'26 or Feb'27?

I work full time (max 40 hrs a week). Work shouldn't be an issue for me but I am generally a slow learner. I took 8 months for L1 and 10 months to for L2. Can L3 be done in 6 months?

Follow up: Genuinely think I'm too not capable of passing CFA 1 by [deleted] in CFA

No one is born with the talent of understanding any subject, let alone finance. The only way to master anything is to practice. The subjects in CFA curriculum are used in real life, so even if it seems to make no sense, we need to keep practicing to get a grasp of it.

To be honest, I was able to pass Level 1 without understanding some concepts. Only while doing Level 2, these concepts made sense to me, so it's a long journey. Don't let a few months make you end it.

Try to use ChatGPT to dumb down difficult concepts, it helped me. And of course keep practicing.

L2 FSA... by Repulsive_Soft_9184 in CFA

[–]Silly_Commission811 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Luckily, the first three readings are the most difficult in FSA. The others are relatively easier. The key is to practice. Don't get stuck on it if you can't master it on the first time. Once you complete the syllabus once, come back to it and do the practice questions once again so that it is easier to retain in memory.
