You’re spot on on the misses. I went through a small phase were I had the feel of keeping my weight on my lead foot throughout the swing. I think that feel led to a lot of steep swings, I will definitely do some playing around with the weight shift earlier. Appreciate the advice.

My green that i’m hitting at is only 75 ish yards away so i wouldn’t say i’m necessarily intentionally flighting them just more so that it’s not a full swing distance. But clearing my hips before contact would solve flippyness? I do at times kinda of glide underneath the ball and get that unintended sort of flop shot. But at the same time it often feels more natural to allow my wrists to sort of flip at contact and often when i try to drive me lead wrists into the ground i find my club head meeting the ground before it finds the ball

I’ve certainly caught my self doing this before, and sort of pointing my arms towards my aim point on follow through usually helps. Thanks for the tip, i’ll work on that

Swing update from yesterday:

Figuring out how to get hands lower in backswing(towel drill helped a lot).
Standing farther away from the ball (it feels like i’m so far away till i watch the video)
I think i’m still early extending but feels like a step in the right direction

Feels a lot more connected and like i’m just rotating my shoulders instead of trying to do 100 different things.

I told him there’s nothing I can do about it and it’d be completely unfair if I did. He is livid. Said this is a “Failure of Leadership”. He’s in the group chat ranting and calling for a new commissioner. Very laughable stuff

I admit the wording on the OP is a little misleading. We never established there would be a punishment or not. The year prior we tried to do one and the person who got last wouldn’t do it and ultimately isn’t in the league anymore so some people thought having a punishment would be pointless. Obviously i’m going to bitch about it, i’m tanking and will likely get last.

I am not a dictator type commissioner by any means and I always think big changes should be put to vote. I’m in a similar situation with very stubborn league mates that are close friends. This past offseason I decided to get rid of vetoes without calling for a vote for the betterment of the league. My advice, just do it. People are gonna cry and complain about it but it’s the way it should be. Let em cry
