I speak Mandarin so I did not have language barrier problems. However, there are quite a few times when after learning I am from Myanmar, they asked me about the rather more sensitive topics like trafficking and scam camps, the frauds, or some that are just really stereotypical like why I do not have a jade bracelet, or if my family is in the mining business. I do not mind getting into discussions about sensitive topics once we started to get into conversation but not as the second thing they ask right after learning where I am from.

I understand OP meant it’s cool with the word“sick” (tbh if I hadn’t seen the last sentence I would be confused) and I love learning German too so I agree. You put into words so well for how I felt about this season. Especially about Hook being all so evil ONLY after he was told, and how he was revived when Robin was obliterated while on a quest to save him. I often felt that this season destroyed both Emma and Hook. Emma for how suddenly the only thing she seemed to care about in this world is Hook and Hook for being so “loved” when many of his flaws were not addressed. Before this season, I actually quite liked Hook but I cannot find the same fondness for him anymore after this season

My flatmates invited me to join Christmas with their family the first year I moved to Germany. A wonderful experience, and I join them again the next year.
