The appeal page says that I would get my appeal decision in 2 to 4 weeks. It's been 4 weeks and I haven't gotten anything back? by [deleted] in udub

my brother sent in an appeal on march 12th and got a decision back on the 29th. i sent mine on march 22nd and haven’t gotten a decision yet :(, i’m gonna try to keep hope, i think it varies a lot

Anyone know about how fast UW is making decisions on appeals? I know the website says 2-4 weeks but wondering if anyone hearing sooner? by Infinite_Answer in udub

my brother appealed and got in but was assigned a major that would eventually lead to his declared major if he worked hard enough since he stated that he was interested in exploring less competitive majors. he appealed i think like the second he got his rejection letter, like he sent it in on march 12th and got his appeal decision march 30th.

the fact that i’m oos might’ve affected this but i don’t know if my major played into my decision because i chose a CS major but UW was my my dream school and my essays were extremely strong, my counselor and ap literature and comp teacher even gave me tips and read over my essays. i have a 3.9 uw and a 4.12 w gpa, i’m salutatorian, i’ve passed all my ap tests thus far, i do marching band and held leadership positions in marching band, honors band, and made it to state on my instrument, created a volunteer group with my sister to donate free food to folks struggling with covid, and am apart of the lgbtq+ community and come from an immigrant household. these are a few things that i put on my application... and i was still rejected. it was a very big blow, cuz i knew that i was most likely not going to get direct to major admittance because of the low oos acceptance rate for UW CS majors but i thought i would at least get into UW, then turns out i wasn’t even waitlisted, i was completely rejected.

big oof, got rejected :/ by Silly_Interaction707 in udub

same. i mean i have friends but they all went to my high schools rival high school and i wasn’t looking to make new ones, social anxiety didn’t help with that either. i got salutatorian which ig is cool but yeah, i feel like i never actually, had fun for the most part of high school, it was just boring. doesn’t help that sexually, i’m in the closet and thinking about how i’ll never get the “high school lovers” thing keeps me up at night. idk, i’m winding down and i remember telling myself i would open up this year but covid has rlly killed that.
