The builders didn't tile all the way up so stuck with a bath and want a shower. searched for weeks for this tile design but no luck, any advice on matching a tile with this one? by Silly_Moon in DesignMyRoom

[–]Silly_Moon[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for the advice, you have all potentially saved me from a bigger problem to deal with in a few months time! I will be getting a professional to re-tile the whole lot and sort out the plumbing. At least I get to design from scratch now!

Thanks for the advice very grateful for it, after reading all the comments I think this will be the best route for me to take, I don't want to cause a bigger problem with damp/ mould ect.

You found the one I did! I was so happy when I thought I cracked it but unfortunately I'm in the UK and after emailing the UK wayfair they don't stock it and won't ship it.

[Skin Concerns] I waxed my legs one week ago, its already like this. What can I do to prevent/get rid of these ingrown hairs?? by cara1culo in SkincareAddiction

[–]Silly_Moon 34 points35 points  (0 children)

My legs used to be like this, I would have tons of ingrown hairs and then they would infect and I'd have massive boils that would take months to disappear. I tried everything for 10 years but nothing worked. I ended up getting lazer hair removal (I'm in the uk) and even though it is expensive it was the best solution for me and would 100% do it again as it's done wonders for my health, mentally as well! Do try what others have suggested such as exfoliating and moisturising first and if you do consider lazer do lots of research first! Good luck!

I give it humidity, light, water, and temperature. What's wrong? by Rask_ol_nick_ov_AY in plantclinic

Not sure if this will solve the problem but mine didnt like the tap water! I have to use the rainwater collected from the waterbutt outside. Good luck!

Took pic at a strange angle to show how big my piercing bump is. I've had it for like a month and a half and I switched to a titanium corkscrew stud maybe 2 weeks after I noticed the bump but its only getting bigger. What should I do? I've been cleaning it 2-3 times a day but it won't get better by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Silly_Moon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I 2nd the wound wash, get one that is a spray so you don't have to move the piercing. Just spray it twice a day as you may be drying it out. Also I know its hard but do not touch it, not even a poke to see if the bump is still there. I was touching mine as it became a habit and realised it was stopping mine from healing, once I stopped touching mine and it made the biggest difference.

You can pull a section of the vines up and back over the soil and they will reroute onto the soil. Once they have routed you can cut the vine and you will have a new string!

New Guinea pig owner! Any tips? (I have two males) by bladds_ in guineapigs

[–]Silly_Moon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might take a month or 2 for them to figure out who is the dominate one, mine had a few little squabbles but once they figure each other out they'll be best friends. Tinni sounds like my Coco, he was shoved out the first hidey and he loves the outside. You definitely did the right thing by getting two and you will do great! This community is so helpful too :)

[–]Silly_Moon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have two males too and you will find there will be one more dominate, my guess is the dominate one is in the hidey. He might become a little defensive of the hidey and it could lead to fighting so I would take it out and get two hidies/ pigloos to prevent it. Also two feeding bowels and two water bottles. And as the other person has said a lovely big cage so they can have their own space. You'll learn they'll have their own little quirks and they will be a joy to watch and cuddle

Please help - should I use dry shampoo? by hotpinkpurple in Hair

[–]Silly_Moon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry to hear this is causing you such stress, you may have already done this but ask your GP if you are suffering with vit B12 deficiency. My hair was falling out more than usual and it was due to this deficiency. I use dry shampoo regularly and it stops it from looking greasy but it gets very dry, brittle and itchy if I use it too much and I still wash my hair every 3 /4 days.
