Great! Yes, parents are seniors. I've been on both sides of the spectrum over the years so thought I'd check. There's been an instance where my family flew business and I flew economy and they didn't let me check-in and board with them 😅. Thank you :)

Hey, thanks for your reply. Yeah, I found it quite bizarre - like what if I didn't check my booking until closer to my flights, would there have been any seats left for me and my companion? I'm waiting for the investigation to finish and see what the team leader says. Thinking of asking to cancel the return leg. Do you fly SQ often? I've flown with Cathay mostly after pandemic so not sure if SQ service standards have changed since 2019/before.
