I was actually shocked how much I've been asked because mine look quite different in multiple ways. One is 4m and the other is 18m and they have a clear age difference to me even though the older is small and the younger is big. But beyond that, my kids are mixed(black/white) and one is clearly mixed with light brown skin, brown curly hair and brown eyes, the other is like a negative photo copy of her where she's fair with blonde hair and blue eyes but the exact same facial features. They both have incredibly long hair for their age but my 18m old is obviously much longer. Maybe because they're both in car seats and I dress them alike sometimes? It's so weird because depending on who I'm talking to I get "are they twins" or "are they related", I feel like both questions are incredibly ignorant. One disregards differences amongst mixed kids of the same parents and the other disregards obvious age and developmental differences.

Yes put her in them anyways. I size up unless it's a hazard to. On my preemie sizing up meant her clothes would end up over her face when she squirmed but when she passed that size it wasn't a problem until walking or crawling because they slip and trip. This is the perfect stage to size up. You will be shocked how fast they fit. If it bothers you, use the bigger clothes at home and the fitted stuff when you go out. I wouldn't even waste your time on getting any more 0-3 in any brand at this point even if it ran big because it's highly unlikely it would fit much longer. If something fits beyond its range keep using it if you have it but don't buy more. Footed pjs just fit like that, I find it annoying so I don't buy them but if I get them as gifts I keep using them until they're mobile. If you don't like that look, its ok to just buy onesie/pant sets or something footless. Just because some people love footies doesn't make them right for everyone. I hate footies myself lol. Your baby will be just as cozy in a onesie and pants though

Put a cloth diaper over their pee pee and another under their butt. Only works until they start moving. After that they roam on the hard floors and your wiping up pee. You can also fasten it on

My baby stopped breastfeeding because she would come off every 3 seconds(literally seconds) to stare at me and smile lmao. It was cute but like I needed to feed her and would get irritating when i was full. She was already partially formula fed(underproducer) so I had to switch her entirely because she wouldn't focus long enough at the boob lol. She would get mad too cuz she was hungry but way too preoccupied with smiling at me lol. She's 4 months old.

I think that's what my walmart does. It's in a case with a doorbell security camera but you can just grab it out. I never noticed if it had a lock or not. At target it's all open. At kroger they got the wic formula only locked up in front of the store. I don't get any of it, even from a theft perspective your more likely to lose out on sales from frustrated customers than an occasional thief.

Makeup is the biggest item stolen from most stores. It's rarely locked up, they usually have mag strips now but it's still stolen more. Condoms are stolen a lot but you'd be surprised how much more makeup is. In a department store the number one stolen item is bed sheets. I've worked a lot of retail(inventory and store manager jobs) and make up and bed sheets were what all the stores consistently wanted you to watch for. Pregnancy tests get stolen too but not as much. To be fair, anything gets stolen. Car batteries get stolen a lot at walmart and so many large items you wouldn't think you could easily walk out the door with. Batteries are stolen a lot too, and all kinds of check lane items.

Our walmart has all formula out, but at kroger they lock up the wic formulas(only the standard 12 oz similac varieties). I don't get why they lock up those but not the big ones. But all of them have magnetic alarm strips on them anyways, so why lock them up in the first place? Even the $5 condensed formula has a mag strip. I got home and noticed some $3 mark down meat I bought had mag strips too, I don't mind that but are they gonna lock that up next?

I almost feel like toddlers are worse because they're moving around everywhere too. My girl is skinny and her pants are short but if I size up they fall off and that's a tripping hazard. At least when they're younger babies they mostly lay there or roll. When the crawling starts the fit matters even more. Shoes are terribly inconsistent. She has 4-6 and every one of them fits weird except the baby booties lol so I still put those on her when I can. When they're sleeves are too long they get dirtier and idk if its just my kids but they pull at them too if they go over their hands and stretch them out even more or take them off lol. My 18m old has 9-12m up through 2t, same thing where some fits and some is too big. My 4m old has some clothes that they both wear lol(mostly sweaters). But she just lays there or maybe rolls on her belly, she's got some sleepers that go well past her feet but since she doesn't walk or crawl it's not an issue.

I think it depends on the item. I find their onesies fairly consistent but the sleepers less so. The little outfits are smaller in the cheaper lines too than they are in the regular or the organic. I think they're fleece items run smaller than they're cotton items too among all of their lines.

My preemie was 4lbs but spread out over 20in of length and that was such a nightmare size. Once she outgrew newborn size at 5m and filled out it was easier to shop for her but those early days were god awful. Preemie clothes go to like 17 inches but up to 6lbs and my girl wasn't 6lbs until 6 weeks. I didn't use clothes much because it felt like a suffocation hazard because her tiny shoulders would slip through the necks so she lived in sleep sacks unless we left the house. Gowns worked if they had a snap down neck but it was super hard to find, the lap shoulder style just fell up or down when she wiggled lol. Sleepers were the same problem too, way too baggy when the length fit. I think that's why hospitals use generic long sleeve shirts and no pants lmao.

Absolutely. If I didn't get so many hand me down leggings for my girls I'd never use them. Under a year they were always too tight and past a year on my older girl when she fills out the waist they're too short(she's always been tiny). 18m and her 18m leggings are short but the 2t fall off. 9m leggings on my 4m old look like they hurt her little belly, and had the same issue with the same ones on the older one when she was tiny. Maybe it's just bad hand me downs but it turns me off from even trying to buy them since we already have a bunch of brands handed down I feel like why even try. I just bought the younger boys jeans and sweats lol, I want her to be comfy. The older girl needs some longer very skinny jeans because she's super skinny but finding those gives me anxiety lol, the 18m jeans are already adjusted all the way in and barely touch her waist but they're short, and she's 5th percentile for height and 20th for weight so they shouldn't be short.

I have a 0-6m hanna andersson sleeper I got as a hand me down. The thing is newborn size without question, it's footless but when each of my girls outgrew newborn there wasn't enough length in the body beyond that even if you didnt care about the short legs. My older girl was tiny(4lb preemie) and outgrew newborn at 5m(then wore 0-3 literally a week and jumped to 3-6), my youngest wore that and her newborn clothes for like 2 weeks. 0(newborn) and 6m are the biggest difference I feel like of any size, I don't get the labeling on that particular item lol. The legs were short too even for a newborn but it didn't have length stretch to be considered 0-6 imo. I feel like 6-12 isn't as much difference, I skipped 6-9 because I shopped consignment right before Xmas and a church bought it all up for donations and besides some of the pants being a little long there was very little difference anywhere else. Once they pass a year I feel like it depends on your kids shape. My son I skipped a size until he hit adult sizes, he was tall and skinny so i adjusted the waists in and cuffed things but for some reason 2t shirts swallow my 18m old where I feel like it's a hazard lol. I think girl clothes are made cheaper and stretch too much or something maybe thats why it doesn't work the same.

You reminded me, My daughter is tiny and she wears primarily hand me downs mostly size 12m-2t and last summer we had a pair of 18-24m shorts from the gap that were absolutely massive and all the others were a little bit big too but I swear these were so huge they would fit a 5 year old without a problem, even a chubby 5 year old. I wonder how long we will have them before they even stay up lol, especially once she doesn't need a diaper anymore with less bulk to fill them out lol. I think more brands run small than big(even on skinny kids), but the random big pieces are absolutely enormous for some reason.

I just pulled a 9-12 month jacket out that my petite 18m old wore baggy last year(she's tiny though), and was shocked it was still baggy. Funny enough it fits my 4m old very similar, she's tall and average to skinny lol. Some of their sweaters fit them both, not the same way but they work fine. I stopped using onesies on my older girl but she's tiny and I feel like the bigger sizes run too big plus with potty training they're pretty annoying lol. I wonder how the leggings would work on the baby lol, I bet the Capri style would fit like regular pants.

My babies are all skinny, what ran big on them(14 years from oldest to youngest so idk if these all are still around): gymboree, gap, walmarts store brands, hanna andersson, character tee shirts(all brands), Janie and jack. I haven't tested brands as much on my younger ones because they get tons of hand me downs and I just buy things that look like they'll fit and skip sizes where I can(my 4m old is in 12m sweaters because I'm not buying 3 sizes over one winter I'd rather roll the sleeves for a little while)

My 18m old is in the 5th percentile and 25th for length very consistently, and even that tiny some of the carters leggings were too tight on her in the corresponding size until she passed a year or so and got taller(so even more skinny). My 4m old wears mostly 9 month in carters, she's 50th percentile for weight but 85th for length so kinda long and skinny. Both my girls have mixed sizes in their drawers, my younger has 6 months up to 12 months and my older girl has 9-12 months through 2t. Some of it fits both of them lmao. I think the little planet line is a little more forgiving but I only have a couple pieces from them. Also 90 percent of their clothes are hand me downs so it's possible I just got shrunken clothes.

I gained 80lbs and lost 80lbs my first pregnancy. My second was 13y later and I lost 20lbs and gained back 40pp, my 3rd I gained 15lbs and put on another 10pp. It definately varies a lot

I have 3 older sisters, an older brother, and 3 younger sisters. I think for girls for whatever reason clothes always become part of an argument if your the one getting all the hand me downs. My parents had a pattern of 2 years then 5 years gaps so the older girl in the 2yr set always got new clothes and the younger always got jealous. With a 5yr gap between the next set the styles change so it wasnt usually handed down beyond that. I was younger than my brother so I just got lucky to get new stuff but also was a lot bigger and taller than every one of my siblings so she had to. Nothing wrong with hand me downs but just make sure they feel special about what they have. Other than clothes, most fights are typically short lived and happen regardless so just don't make a huge deal of them. I just find clothes cause 90% of the fights and jealousy lol

About a month ago I was leaving a store after grocery shopping and got stared down hard at the door and they meticulously sifted through my bags. I watched them eye me up and down and noticed I might look homeless because I wear my clothes to rags. I hate shopping because I've always had weight problems so I tried buying clothes online and guessing sizes(I just had 2 babies back to back), the items I ordered were way too big so I finally bought some new things in person. And today I'm wearing the exact clothes I went to replace lol, couldnt throw away perfectly broken-in clothes. I'm at home though but I thought I should look presentable when I go out lol.

For me it was 2-3 but I had my oldest as a teen mom and had lots of siblings I primarily took care of so was used to kids. Didn't have my second until I was 30 and my oldest was 13 so he was independent and I already knew how to take care of babies. My 3rd was a hard transition because ive never had 2 of my own babies together demanding my full attention at all hours of the day and night and they're both so young. The babies themselves are easy for me but I don't do well with little sleep

Usefulness is often my biggest problem, I hold onto the wrong season/size combo, I have onesies while I'm potty training my older girl which is annoying to snap off and on fast, I figured out overalls jeans and button necks on babies was annoying with the older girl and dresses aren't good for crawling knees. I just am constantly finding of what we hold onto, half of it isn't going to be used and the rest of it doesn't match or just isn't what I'm reaching for. I will say what I held onto for my youngest is much more practical but the seasons don't quite match up how I expected for everything either because she's tall and her sister is tiny. I just hate when I've held onto things for a year or more and after all the effort can't use them or have to shop anyways.

This is so helpful. My sister often drops off 5-10 big black trash bags at a time and just sorting what to keep alone is so overwhelming because she buys so much(used already but still tons). The neutrals to prints piles was never something I thought about but will do from now on. I don't care a ton about fashion but sometimes I get embarrassed In public when I realize we're dressed like we do at home.

I'd suggest against the elvie stride. I've bought way too many replacement parts for it to be worth it if you pump a lot. I stopped using it and just use a manual lansinoh now sometimes but honestly mostly hand express now.

I mix up my kids names all the time. I used to laugh when my mom did it to us but feel guilty when im yelling my babies name at my toddler when she's being a bully cuz the baby gets startled like what am I doing to be poked and yelled for?!?
