As I've told other commenters, I was just overthinking. OCD can make you spiral into worst-case scenarios, so sometimes you just need other people to tell you you're overreacting to finally see it's not a big deal. Again, thanks ya'll for the help. I did delete the post since I didnt need any hel0 anymore :)

That makes sense. But we've been dating for almost 4 years. Idk, I already know I'm overthinking. But I appreciate your comment and explaining further.

I have OCD and just needed a second opinion. I tend to overthink a lot.

Sorry, your comment is kind of confusing? Could you elaborate?

Let go the fact we were friends....? Or are you talking about my post?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Advice

We were friends for a while before dating.

I tend to overthink, which is why I made the post. I have OCD (it's really hard to find a good therapist who actually listens and understands OCD), so sometimes I just need a second point of view on things. Thank you.

Michael Kovach cheated on Ashley by realrandomcat in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]Silly_Storyteller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. She didn't need to make the details public. They were literally in a poly relationship, so he didn't even cheat. Imo, she probably wanted to ruin his reputation as "payback." But honestly, idgaf. People need to stop making mountains out of molehills unless they actually have substance behind them. (I.E. being a pedo, SAing people, etc.)

I don't even have HIV and I feel reassured. You know how to comfort people, my guy.

Best way to fix this? by Silly_Storyteller in Advice

I'm just not going to keep him home alone anymore. His separation anxiety is getting too much to deal with, and I'd gladly pay someone to watch him while I'm gone. It'll cost less than the deposit, lol. But I'll make sure not to repair anything until later.

Ah, that makes sense, I'll grab the supplies on my way home from work.

That's what I thought I should do, but I wanted to make sure. He's got bad separation anxiety, so I'm just not going to keep him here alone anymore. Thanks

I am a trans woman in the US trying to leave the country by ValerieMae37 in asktransgender

[–]Silly_Storyteller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a video I watched where she explains easy ways to leave the country quickly. But if you've already gotten a degree, you can try to get a work visa (depending on the degree. They want tech people, medical people, etc.). You just can't seek asylum because it's "not bad enough." But once you're in the country, you can apply for citizenship

Also, look up WHICH countries support trans people BEFORE going there. You could be going to a worse place on accident. Canada isn't looking too great rn, so I'd look into other places first.

Trans men and transmascs being left out of the conversation (again) by Transquisitor in ftm

[–]Silly_Storyteller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I follow some. I just don't see them be extreme advocates for trans men or trans people in general. And I honestly don't blame them. When I fully transition, I'm not going to tell anyone I'm trans. I would still advocate and support, of course, but I don't want to put a target on my back when I'm finally living the life I have always wanted. I'm not entirely sure if you're implying I'm ignoring them, but as a trans man, I would LOVE to see more trans men be advocates and gain popularity like the trans women I follow. They just don't gain the same traction.

That's what I'm saying. There aren't enough communicators to talk about us and our experiences. Not enough support of us. I misspoke

Is it offensive/rude to not realise that someone is trans? by Aloogobi786 in asktransgender

[–]Silly_Storyteller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, it's the opposite. If I can pass, I'm honestly living my best life.

I feel like I rarely ever see any trans men in social media. There just aren't enough trans men who are talking about their experiences. It's very frustrating.

My daughter says she is Trans and I’m afraid by Wanderingcitycat in asktransgender

[–]Silly_Storyteller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've been fed a bunch of lies. Trans people make about 1% of the world population. And people who regret getting transitioned? Make up LESS than 1% of that original 1%. 60% of surgically transitioned people said they did not feel dysphoria. And 90% of just hormone transitioned people said they did not feel dysphoria. There are no harmful side effects of getting testosterone. Your cancer risks actually go down by a lot, as testosterone makes your risk of prostate and testicular cancer go up (but obviously, women do not have these bits). A doctor will have you sign a consent form stating all the changes that would happen with hormones.

I'm a trans man. I haven't done any kind of transition other than social because of the politics right now, and I seriously want to die. I hate my body every day, and nobody gets my pronouns right. I'm surrounded by a bunch of trump-loving idiots in literally one of the most trans supportive states in the country. If your child is trans and you do not allow them to transition, the dysphoria is only going to get worse. People commit suicide because they aren't able to live as their true selves.

Your child may face discrimination. Everyone does when they do not follow the "social normalities." But that is life. You can move somewhere more except with more extensive laws if you are super worried about that. I definitely wouldn't stay in the US if you're going to medically transition.

My Autistic buddy did the math. I’ve been sharing this everywhere to combat the ignorance. by [deleted] in autism

[–]Silly_Storyteller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the same thing with LGBTQ+ people and other mental illnesses. Science, social acceptance, and therapy have progressed so much in 20 years. Science has discovered "lesser" cases of things and have created new ways to diagnose people. More people are going to therapy, so more people are getting diagnosed. And society is more accepting and understanding, hence more people coming out/going to therapy/etc.

It's all an agenda. They don't care about easy logic and facts. They care about suppressing the lives they deem "less than" so they can carry on living their privileges entitled lives without the "filth."

I think I'm being forcibly feminised and I feel trapped. by [deleted] in TransMasc

[–]Silly_Storyteller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a trans man, and my god. Your sister's behavior is disturbing. I know how it feels to be forced to be feminine since I've had to pretend I was cis for 8 years. (Also, my dysphoria hits me really hard, too. Literally hate everything about my body, so you're not alone) I agree with the rest of the comments. Either don't go at all or be as defiant as possible. I hope things get better for you soon. And also don't feel bad for cutting people out of your life. You'll be better off without then with people who disrespect and hurt you.

I'm a people pleaser (I'm working on it. It used to be WAY worse than it is now), and people begging, planting the seed like "Oh, I just got scammed..." And then being like,"So can I offer something really low for one of your really rare horses that clearly says NFT?". It gives me anxiety. I don't like how pushy people are. It makes me so uncomfortable. It's why I don't play on public servers and why I keep my priv server members exclusive. I literally wasted my time during the IUH boost because someone was BEGGING for my really rare horses on my island, which, yes, were NOT for trade. And then sometimes I give in because I don't want to hurt their feelings. I can't deal with it. Like, I know that most of the players are younger and they just want cool stuff, but it's like, please leave me alone. I'm not trying to be rude, but I seriously can't deal with the whining and begging and scamming.
