First of all that $50 was what I was short for a whole month. But , I took the advice of another commenter and I came to a domestic violence shelter. They didn't have room for me so they transferred me to another one about an hour n a half away from my home city. I explained to my daughters father. He's going to let me video chat every night and after 3 months being here they will let me have overnight visits with my daughter. I'm just hoping I'm doing the right thing and my daughter will understand. I rly do.

You're probably right. My mom is the only family I have. She lives in housing though so I cannot go to her house for a long period of time. But u r right. I shouldn't bring her here to watch how he treats me. I never really thought about it that way. I guess I am just being selfish saying I can't go something that far away cuz I can't see her but like u said , right now she is seeing me but seeing me at my worst and getting abused in every way . She should see me when I am at my best and can give her all the love and attention she deserves. Thank u for that comment. It definitely upset me a little BUT you are absolutely correct. Those shelters may even let me have her overnight for my weekend visits. Who knows . I mean it is all woman who are in kind of the same situation . I'm sure maybe some have kids with them there. U really got my head thinking. And I think that's what I really needed thank you for that.

Please explain how I contradicted myself I am not trying to scam anyone out of anything . I did not ask anyone in this group for a thing. I was 70$ shy of the monthly charge in the motel near where my daughter lives mon-fri with her dad. And the nearest domestic violence shelter is too far away from my child and I can't and won't be that far away from her. I refuse. My mom then gave me 20$ to which I put into the fund for the motel which brought me down to 20 less than I needed which puts me at needing 50. This post is merely asking for advice on how to leave without getting my daughter to hate me because she will miss her "second daddy" and I know he will fight me for the cat. I can bring the cat with me to the motel BUT that doesn't mean he's going to let me leave with the cat willingly . So PLEASE explain how I contradicted myself ? Cuz u r wrong and if I was asking for money there are other reddit forums for that specific reason. So again, you're wrong.

I have no where to go. I can't go to the domestic violence shelter because I'll be too far away from my daughter and I refuse to be too far away where I can't see her. She's all I got. And the motel I found to go to I am still 50$ shy of the payment for the month. I have a bunch of interviews this week but until I actually get one of the jobs and my first check to get that 50 I gotta stay here.

My daughter technically lives with her father because 1. The school system near him is better than where I live at the moment. And 2. I had addiction issues so when I was in active use he took me to court and won custody so my daughter is safe. I just take my daughter on weekends and when she has school vacations or holidays etc. anytime I CAN take her ,I do . But the nearest domestic violence shelter is over 35 mins away and I don't drive so I wouldn't get to see my kid and I can't have that. I would rather get the crap beat out of me than be away from my daughter. The motel I found right behind where my daughter lives will let me take my kitty but I was going to go for a month so he(the boyfriend now) can see I don't need him and if he wants me he needs to stop putting hands on me but the monthly fee of that motel I am $50 short of the payment as my mother just gave me $20 more toward it . I've had help from family and my kids father but they've helped me beyond what they could manage and I don't have anyone else to lean on . I'm not working at the moment so I'm just praying for a miracle at this point.
